It's less than a square mile large with a population of 121 and an additional 200 in season. A bank, school, fudge & ice cream shop, candy store, saloon , post office, 2 churches, camp grounds, cute charming little gift shops... Medora is right at the southern entrance to Theodore Roosevelt National Park. There are a few hotels and some restaurants at all different price points. Theater is the summer highlight here with the Medora Musical, Gospel brunch, Teddy Roosevelt Show, Magic & a ventriloquist. The North Dakota Cowboy Hall of Fame, Heritage Center & Chateau de Mores hunting lodge from 1883 bring culture to Billings. The Teddy Roosevelt Presidential Library & Museum is scheduled to open in 2026. There are horse trails , golf, zip lines, miniature golf, pool, pickleball, a shooting gallery, races .... Winter activities include a Wild Westfest, cowboy Christmas, & New Year's Eve Bash.

Downtown is about four blocks square and has the rail running right next to it and is right off Interstate I-94. Pros... Street parking is free. There are public restrooms available. The locals ride bicycles everywhere (in the warmer months) and they don't lock them. That they trust each other is awesome. Everyone seems super friendly. They understand that tourism is their main industry. Lots to see and do, even after you've been through Theodore Roosevelt National Park. Cons... The weather in the winter. I was here in August and it was beautiful.
