I like the format of turning up without needing to make an appointment, however be warned that Thursday nights and Saturday mornings can have extensive waits (around 45 mins) (but they are happy for you to put your name down and return within a suggested time period). They use strip wax for more common areas like legs, but change to hot wax for the more delicate areas like eyebrows and Brazilians. The only reason for not giving a 5 star review is the result can vary depending on the luck of the draw in who you get as your waxer. I am always happy with the end result, I have just found that some of the staff manage to get the job done quicker, with less pain and with minimal leftover wax. I think it may come down to experience as it is the older staff who seem to be the best. Every member of staff always makes you feel comfortable and they are happy to chat, or will do the job in silence if that is your preference.

I've never had to worry about getting a dodgy eyebrow wax, you know the one we all fear and have probably had at one time or another. I've also had a few of their facials over the years and have enjoyed all of them. I wish I could afford to have them more regularly they are so good. The massage are also good. They have a wide range of dermalogica, yuva and medik8 products for sale and you can get advice from any of the staff about what would be best for your skin. I get their emails which let you know of upcoming specials. You can also buy a series of a particular treatment which works out at paying for e.g 5 but getting 6 of that treatment. You can buy gift vouchers for a loved one (excellent for the guys to get the ladies in their lives). They also have some men's treatments available. Prices are moderate but I think fair.

Yes - it is a bit more expensive than other beauty places and nail shops but you are also paying for fully qualified and trained staff and my pedi's last up to five weeks. The only reason it does not get 5 stars is through no fault of Ella Bache Toombul themselves - you can hear a bit of noise from outside in the shopping centre but once you are relaxed, you barely notice it - except when kids start throwing tantrums!

When I went into the store, they inspected my…read moreears and claimed that because one was a cartilage piercing, it would instead be a cost of $75 because it was 'a different piercing procedure' - but that they could do it at a discounted price of $69.95 for me!! Wow. I went to Lovisa instead and got both piercings done for a total of $29.99, including jewellery. They didn't charge me a ridiculous extra amount for it being a cartilage piercing, were helpful, professional and their gun is the least painful I've ever experienced. And now I have 2 lovely new piercings :) Do your homework and shop around, don't just go with the first crazy price that's quoted to you!!
