I had my hair cut and dried by Rob, one of the senior stylists. He was a stroppy male, late and clearly the salon diva. He made me feel very uncomfortable and I could not wait for the appointment to be over. He proceeded in cutting my hair in silence and when I tried to make conversation he brushed me off. I took the hint and sat there awkwardly while he cut away but what made it even more awkward for me were his random bursts of singing-out-loud. He was very odd and I wished I had booked someone, anyone else.
I would also like to add that I arrived 15 mins early to my appointment and Rob was 15 mins late so I waited half hour before my appointment slot but he made no effort to at least introduce himself, explain he is running behind when he was clearly aware that I was sat there waiting for him - I saw the receptionist tell him twice. In most salons I have been to if a stylist is running late, they have the courtesy to come over, introduce themselves and make apologies. Rob clearly lacks the professionalism and manners of a senior stylist and does not make up for it in hair cutting skills; On the contrary I had a mediocre haircut which could have been the results of a lower level stylist.
