Kim at Guest Services didn't just say hi, but pointed out where the bathroom was-and as small as a gesture that was, that could be a catalyst as to why someone avoids attending in person church (the whole "I don't know where to park...I don't know anyone...what if I have to go to the bathroom...") is real. While we sat in the sanctuary, Glenda was eager to stop, say hello, and chat. These small, benign gestures make all the difference. Even after service, Glenda found us again to introduce us to her husband. My husband, daughter and I felt the sincerity from her. Did I forget to mention the coffee and tea bar? Steaming coffee was available with an array of creamers was on hand and date I say it? It was HEAVENLY (pun intended) Haha! Well done, Grace Church! Well done!

Great kids programs from nursery age all the way through highschool. They present God to them on their level. For the adults the service is always on point! Music is awesome. The messages always get me too. Now I'm not talking about fire and brimstone preaching at me but somehow every single week as I'm sitting there learning some awesome principle or pointer to apply to my life there will be some little thing that is a zinger and I'm like oh ok I felt that! For sure worth trying out if you're looking for a community of believers to join with. No perfect folks allowed here. I mean they keep letting me come back!

Since it's been a long 7 years working every Sunday, I have the liberty to finally join a church, and this is the church that chose me. I was extremely delighted to see how welcoming they are from the moment you enter their doors with the greeters and welcome signs to the moment you leave. The embrace that has been given is inexplicable. My second visit was on a "Maundy Thursday," which was amazing. Snacks and mini sandwiches were offered. They gave a few small gifts for attending if it was your first, second, or third visit. One of having a small bible and "Our Daily Bread" book. In their app, they offer activities and have events that you can participate in. These are support groups that can help you with relationships, cooking, marriage, health, crafts, and even fishing , etc. through prayer. Plenty of resources to be closer with our Lord and savior. The pastors deliver relatable worship services on different days or nights of the week. They also have Revival Kidz, where children can play and learn about God and Christ and are well watched. Baptisms are on the second Sunday of the month. With only having visited 3xs, there's so much more I have to learn. THIS is the community that I've been searching for. It feels like family and home here, and I can't wait to bring my son.

**Title:** Extremely Disappointed - Not a Welcoming Church…read more I have been walking my dog on this church's property for nearly 10 years. During that time, I considered this place part of my community. I've given blood here, picked up trash, and even helped keep the property safe by running off people doing donuts in the parking lot. Unfortunately, my recent experience has completely changed how I view this church. I was asked to leave the premises simply because I was wearing a poncho. They claimed they didn't recognize me, which is absolutely false given my long history of being around this property. I am appalled. A church should be welcoming--especially to those in its own community. Instead, I was profiled and treated like an outsider. This is not the behavior I expect from a place that claims to represent God's love.

VERY Rude Staff Member-…read more I had a REALLY upsetting experience with a member of the seating staff today that I feel needs to be addressed. My family, friends, and I (a group of six) arrived just before worship began, and as usual, floor seating was limited. Since we didn't want to disrupt anyone, we chose to stand off to the side near the risers and wait for the seats to open up. This is something we've seen people do regularly every Sunday. While we were quietly standing there, not blocking any aisles and already engaged in worship, a staff member approached us. In a very condescending and harsh tone, he said things like, "This isn't a sporting event, you can't just stand here and watch," and repeatedly told us we "needed to get out of the way." His delivery felt unnecessarily aggressive and dismissive, as if we were doing something wrong when we were simply waiting respectfully. The overall interaction came across as rude and frankly unwelcoming. We were not being disruptive in any way. In fact, we were trying to be considerate by not navigating through a darkened auditorium once worship had already started. To make matters worse, we had invited close family friends to attend for the first time, and this interaction left them so uncomfortable that they've already said they won't be returning. This experience was deeply disappointing and not at all reflective of the welcoming environment one would expect. I hope this feedback is taken seriously, because no one should feel spoken to or treated this way--especially in a place that is meant to be inclusive and inviting.

I'm a divorced single mother and while other churches have judged me, never this one. They all have all sorts of programs and committees and my teens loved the Bible camp and they ASK to go to church. I can't attend every service because of work but we're always eager to go. It's a majority Caucasian congregation but I never once felt out of place. Since I've been going, the crowd has become more diverse and we all come together for one purpose- to praise, serve and worship one God. With an ever growing hateful world, why not come to a place where you'll feel loved? I love this church, the Pastor and it's members who keep in touch with me through phone calls and texts. Truly a Christian family here.

They have a particular focus on Military families because of Hampton Roads. They are doing a lot more to reach people not comfortable with normal church by offering more contemporary church in another building. The pastor is enthusiastic, but not overly charismatic or anything. I love their motto: Love God, Love Others, Live the Mission.
