Uptown Cafe's new location is worth the extra drive. We had the K-BBQ sub, steak and cheese, and vegetarian dumplings. When the K-BBQ arrived, I was afraid it would be too spicy; I can't eat very spicy. The sub was perfection! Everything was delicious! As a former patron of the Centreville location, I was so happy to see the familiar faces and menu at the new place. Michael and Sunny are still the cheerful, welcoming hosts/owners. This place is fantastic, I've been a regular customer here since they opened. The wraps, burritos and subs are my go to from here. The coffee is also decent. The owners are always friendly, occasionally will give me samples while I wait for my food. Which reminds me, I also enjoy their soups. Let me tell you, this place has the best breakfast burritos! There are moments when my son will ask to go eat the breakfast burritos, and one time he threw a literal fit when I told him he needs to eat what I made him. He kept whining about wanting to eat bweakfast buwwito, so of course I bought him one the next day... you gotta pick your battles lol. The K-breakfast sandwich is a good breakfast pick too, but my son loves the breakfast burrito too much, that's what we usually always end up getting. Honestly everything on the menu is so delicious - I don't think you can go wrong with choosing any item. All their rice bowls are solid (haven't tried the tofu one yet). The crispy chicken sandwich is super yummy and the coleslaw in there just makes it taste even better. Everything always tastes so fresh! I also love the kimchi-esque cabbage in the K-BBQ bowl. They have a new soup of the day every day, and idk how they do it, but the soups are banging! Some of my favorite soups they do are : pho, Thai tom yum (LOVED this one, it had a nice little kick to it), beef chili, chicken noodle and tomato. I'm sure there's other soups I tried, but these are the ones my son and I have enjoyed. They also have daily specials that change every day. I've seen kabob on there, bulgogi burger, etc. It's different every day, and always a good deal because you usually get fries and a drink or coffee with the meal. One time, the daily special was a burger and my husband told me he wanted them to make that burger every day because he loved it. Their coffee is also one of the best in the area. Starbucks got nothing on Uptown Cafe. I don't know if it's the machine or the beans they use, but whenever I order an Americano... simply perfection. Not too acidic or too nutty, never burnt tasting, tastes good even watered down. I just don't understand how they get the coffee to taste so freaking good! Matcha and vanilla latte are good too. The interior is always clean, even the bathroom, I love how they added little touches in the bathroom like floss and lotion. The owners are also super sweet and personable. They have plenty of parking and have patio seating which we took advantage of when the days were warmer. You are missing out if you don't come give this place a try! read more

What a great addition to the neighborhood. The owners of the cafe are very friendly,, hospitable, Michael, Sunny and the whole family. The service is fantastic. All the soup is fresh, made from scratch...reminds me of the soup place on Seinfeld, but always soup for you. The Pho is delicious, Pho Ga...Tuesday's special. I tried the chicken noodle there today...absolutely delicious, While I have not had an opportunity to enjoy a beer there but once, they have a nice well rounded selection oh draft considering the limited amount of keg space. They have one of the best IPA's in large format bottle, Maine Lunch. The coffee drinks are great. It is also very thoughtful that they leave a water bowl outside for the neighborhood dogs. They did it again - another perfect meal! The bulgogi sandwich and bowl were wonderful - great portions and high quality. The onion rings, dumplings, and fries were so fresh and had so much flavor - loved the batter on the fries the most. The Cabernet Sauvignon and the British beer also hit the spot. Living next-door to the Uptown Cafe, I get to smell the food that's cooking every day and it's very tempting. Today I decided to stop in and ask them if they make loaded fries and was pleasantly surprised to find out that they do. The owners are super nice and when I popped in, he asked me if I had tried the Tom Yum soup which was on the special today. I had never tried it, so he gave me a little sample that I brought home and when I finished it, I went back over and bought a whole cup full. It is freshly made with chunks of chicken, onions, carrots, greens, fresh cilantro, tomatoes, and a few other goodies. it has a nice little bite to it, but not too hot. Just what the doctor would order! I will be watching for this soup on the special board from here on out. Can't wait to try the loaded fries. I did snag two chocolate chip cookies that were by the register because they looked so fresh and good. I sampled those at home as well and they were just the right amount of chewiness with the semi-dark chocolate chips. So very good and reminds you of those homemade chocolate chip cookies growing up. 7/28/2023.. Such a lovely spot owned by the welcoming hospitable couple Sunny and Michael. My daughter and I stopped in for breakfast and inquired about the K- breakfast sandwich. After hearing the description we were sold and ordered two. Sooo gooood! The recipe and sauce is Sunny's own recipe. Fresh vegetables added a great crunch and texture alongside the fluffy omelette and gooey melty cheesiness. Sunny and Michael went out of their way to make us feel so very welcomed and shared anecdotes about their delicious menu items. The restaurant ambiance is fresh and inviting. By far some of the best service I've ha! The owners were super friendly and engaging, they went above and beyond in providing their services and were super friendly. My brother and I came in for coffee and lunch. The food was ABSOLUTELY amazing. I got the carribean jerk chicken bowl and he got the steak and cheese. Both dishes were so well done! Love Uptown Cafe in Chantilly! Not to be confused with other Uptown Cafes (with the same name in Herndon and Sterling). This Uptown Cafe used to be in Centreville a couple years ago but re-opened a couple weeks ago here in Chantilly. They are located in the Westfields Preserves where Sedona Taphouse is. I am glad they re-opened here as I dont have to venture down to Centreville to get my fix. There are so many delicious things on the menu. A variety of fresh sandwiches, salads, and Korean inspired menu items. They even had onion rings and dumplings that were so delicious & crunchy. Next time i am going to try their cobb salad , avocado toast and salmon poke. I like the fact they are using fresh ingredients. When I walked in I was greeted by very friendly and warm welcoming staff and I ordered the steak and cheese sub. It was VERY delicious, I will definitely be coming back. While I was waiting for my food the owner offered me a cup of chicken noodle soup and said they have different specials everyday and that the soup is home made from scratch. It was super yummy and honestly one of the best chicken noodle soups I've ever had! The cafe was very nice and tidy and looked like a nice cozy place to come by and eat . The owner told me they were open before but when Covid hit they had to shut down but now it's up and running for the past 7 months and I wanted to give them some support because they deserve it! read more
