UPS is the only expedited service that my favorite merchant uses, so I'm left without much of a choice. I have a membership with UPS with saved preferences; which is to leave any packages with the local UPS Access Point literally next to my apartment. I use this setting because there's no extra entry field for the apartment port code, and since they can't get in, the delivery fails and the driver doesn't have the wherewithal to drop it off at the nearby UPS Access Point. So, hence the preference setting. Except they never adhere to it, and time after time try to deliver to the apartment and call from a private number (which I avoid because it's flagged and scam calls call in daily), the delivery fails, and EVERY time I have to call them and tell them to redirect it to the Acces Point just a minute away from me. Often this leads to my expedited package being held over the weekend. Imagine the time it would save if they allotted space in the membership address field for a port code or they just per default followed the instructions in the preferences. Maybe then I wouldn't feel like I was wasting my money on this service. It's just after noon since my call with them, and I will have to wait the entire weekend to get my package, again. read more
