The view is beautiful and it's nice and clean. The massage was average, not great. The steam rooms are far from warm enough. The little snack room is cute but I had to empty the waste coffee and water myself because it was full and several people couldn't get coffee. read more

The husband and I do love a good European spa experience, especially one with a view. Our spa entrance was included in the room price which was good considering we found that they charge 80 usd for entrance. You can change into your robe and slippers in your room and then check in at the spa entrance. They recommended we book a two hour timeslot but when we arrived we found that it wasn't really enforced and you could pretty much come and go as you please. We checked in and they gave us a complimentary spa bag and a tour of the spa facilities. The spa consists of three levels. The top is checkin with a small shop of lovely scented things as well as a yoga room with complimentary classes. The second level are the pools and saunas. Downstairs to this you'll find some complimentary juice, tea, fruit, and a few other snacks in a relaxation room. The spa level features an impressive glass box pool that hangs out over the edge of the building so that you can watch the cars and people bustling below and they can watch your..undercarriage. It had some nice views and was quite refreshing with the crisp weather. The other two inside pools, saunas, and steam rooms were all nice and everything was beautifully decorated with the fresh clean botanical design of Upper House. We did not try any of the services but enjoyed the pools even though it was pretty crowded. Overall it was a nice spa sporting some impressive views from the Gothia Towers tippy top. read more

The Upper House Spa is located near Korsvägen in the Gothia Crown Skyscraper in Downtown Gothenburg and I would say that is the most centrally located spa in a big city that I've ever visited. The concept is brilliant. And outdoor pool fifty meters above the ground totally in glas which means that you can see through the bottom of the pool down to the ground and get a pretty amazing view of the city and the nearby amusement park Liseberg. And the indoor spa have huge panorama windows that give you a beautiful view of the city. I think this part is pretty genius to be honest. View of the city from above gives you somehow a kind of peacefulness. This is also the newest spa as I know about in Gothenburg. The interior is clean, modern with thick ropes as hangers for your bathrobe and a lot of black stone and blue pools and white floor it I recall correctly. It's modern and beautiful. Just right for a spa in this licati The spa itself offers three pools, an experience shower with different kinds of waterfalls. An ice bucket to cool of. Two kind of saunas a hamam. Which is like a sauna with hot stone benches.m and a relax room where you can lay down an drink water and eat fruit. Other spas I've visited had more to offer but for a few hours which where the case for my evening visit this where just perfect. Not to much and to to little but just the right amount. Good: The staff is professional and courteous. Facilities are modern and clean. I found the massage was relaxing and seemed like technique was being applied. Whereas in the US, massage just seems like random rubbing. Bad: They shortchanged me noticeably on the length of the massage. I paid for 50 minutes, and I'd be surprised if it even lasted 40 minutes. That may not seem like much, till you discover what you're being charged by the minute. They did not pick me up to change until my scheduled start time. I found the service and massage rather mediocre. Nothing special. I would recommend just using the spa and its pools and saunas. The cold water bucket shocked me, being so cold. In a good way though. Skip the treatments though. My husband and I agree on this point. read more
