If you consider yourself indegenous and value your hair, beware. you must be very thorough in directions. my hairdresser cut off way more than I wanted and has left me very very upset. if you think you're being precise with them think again. Came in for a trim and got over 5 inches off. I'm floored. not coming here again unless I have a 1000 page manuscript on exactly what i want to be done with my hair. Just left the upper cuts in Ashland, WI. The boss Heidi Berglund was so upset that my daughter put her notice in because of a volleyball summer league that my daughter let her know about well in advance, that she cut off her employee discount for her appointment today. Then lied and had her employee lie about telling her ahead of time her discount was cut off and that she needed to pay full price while they still have her on the schedule for two weeks. And not only that my daughter had to deal with her hovering over her every shift and making her feel uncomfortable. My daughter made a commitment and wanted to finish out what she said she would work but after the lies and treatment I told my daughter she didn't have to go back and work her schedule because she didn't deserve to have to deal with that. I think Heidi forgets she had another employee track down my daughter to have her work for her and to treat her the way she did she's lucky my daughter has more class because I bit my tongue so hard not saying what I really wanted to. Heidi's feeling would have been hurt and then to threaten to call the cops because I was asking about her policy with employees and why my daughter was not getting what everyone else does, I told her go right ahead because I did not do anything but ask questions concerning my daughter and why she was not getting fair treatment. Not once did I raise my voice, swear, call her out of her name. I just simply asked her why she was treating my daughter differently, and you know what she didn't call the cops because she knew nothing would happen because I did nothing wrong but ask her a couple questions and mind you the salon is full and I had plenty of witnesses to back up me doing nothing but asking her questions. I'm glad my daughter is not working there anymore and I urge anyone who works there to be aware of her and how she treats employees. We have been loyal customers for years and I've recommended so many people there. We will never return there and will let every person we come into contact with know about her, her salon, and her ethics. What an awful experience for my daughter's first job experience. COVID PRECAUTIONS AND GUIDELINES NOT ENFORCED. I called ahead to verify that they had some sort of covid precautions in place. The woman on the phone said that they required everyone to wear masks and spaced customers out. I sat down and the stylist began cutting my hair. Then another customer and her friend came in, unmasked and decided to stand immediately next to me while they were getting their hair done. On addition, another stylist with another customer asked a customer if she wanted to take her mask off. She gave her the option of taking it off or holding it, rather than just asking her to hold it. I don't care if this person wants to run their business this way, but don't lie to your customers about precautions. We should be able to make an informed decision if we want to patronize your business. read more

On Saturday August 6th 2022 us ladies were getting ready to celebrate the most beautiful day with the most beautiful bride..2 of us girls got our hair done by this particular lady who did a horrible job. The experience at upper cut in Ashland wi was going good until this lady told another bridesmaid she didn't know how to do a fishtail braid and to pick something else and had to watch a video on how to do it.she came back and her hair didn't look anything like what she had wanted... Then my name was called to get my hair done by the same lady I went and sat in the chair showed her what I wanted and she said yup I can do that(you can see the pic of what i wanted on my phone in one pic). Ok so she starts putting little rubber bands every where and says oh this looked better on pinterest I was like excuse me what I had showed you should only have a little rubber band at the bottom not a whole head full.. she took them out and started with ratting the top of my head n then started to braid. At this point I'm facing away from the mirror so I'm hoping and praying that it looks OK there was a chunk of hair left out on the left side that she tried curling (my hair doesn't curl very good which she was told) when it didn't curl she asked if she could cut it umm no then she said feather it ya again that's a no. She went to the right side to curl that piece left out n burnt the top of my ear. So then she turns n I finally see the front n said omg my 6yr old can braid better I don't like it take it out and just curl it she replied with it looks just the picture hahah umm no honey it doesn't. She took it out and curled my hair leaving chunks of hair uncurled. I went up to the reception desk n the lady behind the desk says thats 75 bucks like what! At this point I'm furious we are already set back on time I had to rush over to the hotel and try n figure something out with my hair to get it to look decent for my best friends wedding. Thanks to the bridal party and photographers they pulled off something quick... oh and to top it all off the owner called me I expressed my concern and she says well if your unhappy about it I advise you not to come back and hung up on me!
