When we sat down to eat we realized we were both given collards instead of kale. Not wanting to go back in line we decided to eat it. I have been to Upbeet several times, and have had a pretty good experience each time. I really enjoy their Almond Joy acai bowl- it is really yummy! I've tried a couple different salads here as well, and as I am vegetarian, I substitute meat for the agave sriracha tofu. The tofu is a bit spicy for me, but overall tastes great. However, I've noticed both times I've eaten the tofu, it's given me stomach pains/gas for hours later. I like the tofu but wish they had another option that didn't upset my stomach! read more

Wait time is terrible today . I've been in line for 15 mins with 2 guest in front of me . There's 7 people currently behind the food counter , but seems as though everyone is focused more on the to go orders than anything. Tried Upbeet for the first time today. All I can say was it was "okay." First of all, they state they will not begin to serve people until 11am. They didn't start serving people until 11:10. In my opinion, I don't think an establishment should even open its doors until you are ready to serve your customers. They literally pay you zero attention until they are ready. The food was bland. There are so many options it can be a bit overwhelming, but is also helpful for someone with particular dietary needs or preferences. Came here for lunch and got the aloha bowl with a few modifications to make it vegan. The thing that makes this place stand out is the freshness of the ingredients. It immediately perks up your senses without having your food saturated in seasonings. All of my coworkers enjoyed their bowls (which included the bachelor, curry up, and macro bowl). The food and the service at this restaurant is absolutely amazing. The only reason I did not give this restaurant five stars is because the two times that I have been here within one week the lines are so long that it takes forever to actually reach the counter to order your food. Today I walked in the restaurant at 7:58 PM and I did not get to the counter until 8:31 PM 30 minutes to reach the counter because the line was just that long but people actually wait in the line because the food is just so good. The only advice that I have to the owners that run this restaurant add additional staffing on the front line so that they can continue to move the customers quickly and efficiently without losing the customer service that is already at the counter. Ive been coming here for over a year. I went to get my usual order macro bowl with tofu. My partner went in to get it the server forgot the tofu but didn't charge us so it was fine. My partner went back in to pay for a side of tofu amd the manager heather said she was charging double because it was " on the side". I went back in to see if the tofu price had increased and she said that she charged double because it was two scoops. It wasnt. The service has fell off and the food is sometimes undercooked.
