The perfect cross between hotel amenities and bed and breakfast ease and price! It's an historic, large home that has been converted. We stayed in the suites that included a small kitchen area but never ended up using that kitchen because the breakfasts were so delicious and we were too busy exploring the amazing castles nearby. The accomodations are very clean and comfortable and the home is situated conveniently to good places to eat and shop.
The owners were extremely friendly and very helpful with whatever we needed - and, as we were Americans on our first visit to the area, we had a lot of questions!
The only slight drawback is that you can't check in until 4:30. We arrived at 3:30 and tried to drop off our suitcases and ask for dining suggestions and were turned away (the owners do not live on-sight and aren't even there until the scheduled time.). The check-in time is stated on the reservations sights so it really isn't a problem that I would ever deduct points for but it should be noted. read more
