This was our third time coming to I Ragazzi di Sipario; a restaurant operated by kids CURTAIN Onlus, a non-profit social cooperative, offering job opportunities to persons with disabilities or in fragile situations, thus promoting integration and social inclusion through labor and management.
The young adults who took care of us, Christina, Roberto and Mattia, were great. They were happy, attentive and friendly. We had a very nice meal. They offered a 2-course lunch with a vegetable for € 5 each. The restaurant has moved from the Oltrarno to this new location, which is in the Alfieri Cinema Bistro Theater on the Via dell'Ulivo, 6, not far from the Casa Buonarroti. It was quite a nice setting for a lovely lunch.
We each enjoyed pasta with sausages and tomato sauce. For our second course, we each had the sliced pork, one with roasted potatoes and one with seasoned white beans. Out total cost was € 15, which included wine and water. It is so worth it to find this restaurant and support the program. You will be so glad that you did.
