Buyer beware!!!!
Okay - I first encountered this store when in Rome. Beautiful designs - loved the craftsmanship - I bought a gorgeous bracelet - 129 euros (not cheap) it lasted 8 months. I had it on one day and it literally exploded. (The band gave way and all the beads went flying) I gathered what I could and emailed them and they told me to send it to them with the receipt - which I still had - so I did and they rebuilt it and sent me another one. The leather band they put it one seemed a bit thinner than the previous one but I was simply happy to have it back. Literally 4 months later - it did the same thing while I was in my car. I gathered up what I could and put it in a baggy intending at some point to buy the leather and try to repair it myself - (at the time it had a lifetime warranty if I recall but frankly it was such a hassle the first time with emailing and then mailing etc that I gave up)
10 months ago i was in Boston - found an uno de 50 there. Hummed and hawed about getting another one and then decided on a smaller bracelets that was about 80 USD -
I had it 4 months.
Same thing happened.
Put that one in a baggy too.
Two months ago I was walking through my local mall and - they'd opened an uno de 50 - made a note to take my bracelet there next time I was in. I went in with the bracelet (from Boston) and the bill (proof that at the time it was less than 8 months old.) the girl there said..l well they changed their policy (lifetime warranty???) because people aren't gentle with them.. (I took that to mean that they were replacing a lot of them - therefore my problem was not unique and frankly the bands are clearly not strong enough. It's not like I caught the bracelets on anything and you should be able to wear them... That is the point of jewelry) anyway it was within a year so she agreed to send it out with the BILLLLLLLL)
I waited two months and she calls me now saying they'd searched everywhere and that they couldn't find a replacement for it as it's an older design...
I told her okay fine (they could have rebuilt it) but then common sense would be that they at least offer a replacement of comparable value.
She said well okay the if you email me the bill I'll send it back to them... WTF???
I told her she had a copy of the bill It was sent in with the bracelet.
So now I have to go find it and send it again and wait another month? Two? Three?
Beautiful designs.. But you're throwing away your money if you buy one. read more
