I come here for my cutie husky Blue. She is little sassy so, of course, my diva gets bored from the same food. Besides spoiling her with homemade food, I do give her dry dog food. And this is where Unleashed come to the rescue. Unleashed is affordable than Petco, although it's like it's Petco's daughter store, they do have everything I need for my pet. I got her dry food, leash, tags, engraving on tags, treats, harness all from here. Everything here has good quality and last a long time. Employees are just great. Every single time that I come here they are extremely helpful and knowledgeable. I would tell them what am I looking for and they will guide and help me find what I need. They recommended me some dry food that were not brand name, but the quality was excellent, grain free, first ingredient real meat ( choice are endless). And every so often I would change the flavor - I got for my Blue - beef, bison, venison, duck, salmon and today she will be trying lamb & lentil. I think she would love her new flavor Overall, I like this store for my pet, I feel that employees are genuinely love and care for animals and that makes them really good at their job. I found that with the service and attention that I received with the training and product recommendations I have nothing but positive things to say. Bridgett is an outstanding trainer. She is attentive, knowledgeable, patient and most of all personable, all which make for a great Trainer. I have seen her work with chihuahuas to Rottweiler all which were choreographed in a professional manner. Love getting snacks for my pup here, she is a yorkie and loves the peanut butter pretzels. They also have little cakes/cookies for special days like birthdays. This store always has the nicest employees, always friendly and willing to help. The store also offers training for dogs but does not have a pet grooming option. Parking is easy because they are located in a plaza! read more

This is my favorite place to take my boyfriends beastie pitbull. It is a bit smaller than your typical Petco but it has more boutique items. I especially loved the dog biscuit bins. They have faux chocolate chip cookies, pretzels, the equivalent of doggie gushers...plus ones that look like the are even frosted! So cute! Bought a flea collar for $80 a month later im at the vet beause my cat is covered in hives. I asked for a recommendation and now my cat is in pain. Not sure if anyone else has this issue but im really unsatisfied with the quality of product from unleashed. Now im paying $300 for a bunch of anti biotics and medicine my cat hasnt had any issues with flea collars in the past. Needless to say this is the last time im coming to unleashed and taking any suggestions from anyone there read more

Our trainer, Brigitte is moving here so we are also now moving here! Store is always clean, well stocked, well air-conditioned. Lots of help for your furry friends with puppy playtime, classes, and advise!! Employees are super friendly and helpful. The store is not super bright with lights, which I don't mind because I hate artificial fluorescent lighting but it may bother some. I have been to this shopping center so many times but never really noticed it, maybe because it is in the shadow of the large super market (Von's) but I am so glad we know where it is now! read more

If you decide to get your puppy trained, make sure to sign up with Brigette. She's such a sweet and caring trainer. She's also very encouraging. The other trainer however, lied to my sister and me when we first signed up. She gave us all the wrong prices and told us the wrong start date. Unfortunately, I don't remember her name, but she's very dull and monotone. Because of her, we missed the first class and had to catch up to all of the other dogs. We were told that classes start April 3rd, when in reality they started March 27. I paid a lot of money, so I'm very disappointed that this happened. Thankfully, Bridget was nice enough to catch my puppy up on everything. It was very disrespectful on the other trainers part, but again, MAKE SURE TO SIGN UP WITH BRIGETTE. she's a way better trainer. read more

I have been coming to Unleashed by Petco in Granada Hills for years. I love all the employees. Leah, Lola, Tracy, Sarah, Brigette. They all go above and beyond to help and very professional. I have gone to dog training with Brigette with my chocolate lab (nicknamed my wild child) and most recently my bernedoodle. Bridgette is a great trainer. Takes her time and very patient. Brigette is extremely knowledgeable. I would take any of my dogs to her and I always take them in the store. If they don't have an item they take the time to check other stores if item is needed before their next delivery. read more

I use to go to the Petco in Porter Ranch and one day I stopped by Unleashed in Mission Hills on San Fernando Mission Bl near Balboa Bl and the staff there are amazing! As a response to Melanie. This is a long time coming that I write this poor review. This store has been horrible with service since it opened. It is not only myself, but my wife that has had issues with this location. No one is friendly, no one is helpful, they all act like they hate their jobs and definitely do not pay attention to a customer unless they are "attractive to them". Over the last five years I find myself going to the actual PetCo on Zelzah. It is more store and less customer service, but I expect that from a large location, not a smaller strip mall. I am never coming back to this unleashed and believe it should be shut down as it is a waste of mall space. All other stores in this mall would most likely agree since they all seem to cater to us area residents. Oh, and though I got the nice response that you are bringing this up to the store so they can handle it? My wife came back here and was treated even worse by the same dog trainer who treated me like I was garbage. This store needs new management, new workers AND definitely a new dog trainer without so much attitude. Better yet, close it down. It does not cater to larger dog needs nor reptiles. "Unleashed" should be every pet, not just purse pets and cat lady shut ins. read more

After a visit to this location, I came away with a few things. The staff is actually very knowledgeable when it comes to pet nutrition. The store is very clean and fairly well-stocked. BUT this location does NOT have a DIY pet wash area like the NoHo and Reseda stores have. Unleashed doesn't even sell pooper scoopers! It's a PET STORE. The other positive is the fact that Unleashed seems to be the only place (other than the internet) to find "West Paw Design" toys with their lifetime guarantee. Best toys I have found for my two Shepherds and my Lab/Pit mix. read more

I just walked in here looking to buy a couple freshwater fish, but unfortunately the "unleashed" petco stores do not have any live animals. On the bright side though, I needed a harness for one of my thick headed dogs, and the guy who was at the register was extremely helpful in leading me to the appropriate one. he certainly knew his stuff! read more

This review is on The Puppy Play Time @ Unleashed every Saturday & Sunday at 1:00-1:30. Do not waste your time!! They do not let puppies play. It's two puppies in an area at one time, you are not allowed in, with a girl who calls herself a trainer. She most certainly is not. Why do they need a "trainer" to play??There was only three puppies there. They make you sign a form & provide a copy of your pups vaccination records. Anyways She holds one pup from the other. So they can't play Then she "switches" them out. Meaning she takes in a different pup & takes another out. She heard my disappointment in the situation & after a few minutes, while she held a pug pup away from my lab pup because he was more of an aggressive player. Lol. She handed me the leash, which she doesn't remove, & I believe that was my hint to leave if I don't like it. She told me this was all the "rules" of Petco. I left & went to the Petco on chatsworth & Zelzah. It was a completely different set up. You do not have to sign anything or provide records. It's what you would expect. Still only 2 pups at a time. But, they use a tiny gate separating them so there were 4 playing total. It was so great to watch! They let one family member in the play area too. Also, just so happened the district manager was there... He said he was going to correct the situation at Unleashed. Good for Petco. I'll never go back to Unleashed. Finally, being as this girl had made me trick my pup to go into this "play area" by walking in first so she would follow, then I had to get out. my pup thought she was being punished & was upset that entire day ! This is definitely my favorite pet store. I always bring my dog along. This store has almost everything you need. It's a small version of Petco. I've found stuff here that bigger pet stores don't carry. I always come in for dog food but end up walking out with a bunch of other items too. The store is always stocked and very clean. The staff here is very friendly and knowledgeable as well. I always get greeted with a smile and they're always happy to help. I'm talking about every single employee too. This is our local Petco store and the staff is always fantastic! My husband went in to make a purchase today and ran into Bridgette, who was above and beyond customer service oriented. Like most men, my husband does not know the fine art of shopping but instead likes to hunt and gather. He was experiencing minor issues locating some items and prices and Bridgette was there to lend a hand and help him do a price match with the Petco.com website. LOVE this place. Realized tonight (at 8:40pm) that we were completely out of dogfood. Ran out to unleashed and they were still open! They no longer carried the bigger bag of food I needed, but the gentleman offered me two midsize bags for the big bag price and promised to keep a few on hand for us sense this is where we always buy our food. What is great about this pet store is that you dont have to go through aisles of pet paraphenalia just to get a bag of dog food. The selection was wide, but not overwhelmingly abundant. Some of the bigger superstores seem to engulf you with their merchandise, but this place serves its purpose. read more

its mini petco! i pretty much shop every week @ the trader joes across the street, so i've always seen it but didn't know what exactly it was. saw the sign "unleashed by petco" so assumed that it was apart of petco. needed to buy cookies for the munchkins & didn't really want to drive to petsmart in canoga park ( i will NOT go to the petco) 'cause i dont know; petco in my opinion is not friendly. its very cold. petsmart has a different atmosphere, so i will drive the extra to go there. decided to stop in & see what it was exactly. was surprised. its a cute little boutique & they're very nice there! its also very clean, unlike petco's in general. walked in, got a warm hello.. asked what i was looking for. told me several things were on sale. and they pointed me towards the cookie bar! LOVE! my little min pin's go crazy for those cookies.. always get a pound, so it stays fresh.. ! was in there last night picking up cookies for them for valentines day && was told that they're doing pet portraits! that's so cute :) its now become one of my bi-weekly stops to go here. if you live in the area.. check it out. oh! by the way, the take the petco pals cards; so you can earn points here too! read more
