I wouldn't recommend Laval for International and English Canadian students. Even if you have an excellent French, you still have to learn the Quebec French which is difficult to master and it will take you one year in average to know what your teachers are saying. The School is "cheap" and with lowest fees come low quality of service in many departments. I was enrolled there for a master program and went in to celebrate my wedding in the South, I came back to Quebec city and found a pile of bills from the university, though I hadn't taken any classes during that term! The irony goes on that their recovery department called in to threaten that they will call the police if the amount is not paid in full. Of Course I contacted the the highest management and reported the incident. Which gave me with other incidents an overall impression of a toxic atmosphere in many departments. It was energy draining and a waste of time. I would recommend any aspiring International or English Canadian student to be aware where to invest your money, time and energy. And to look for Quality education with quality customer service (University of Toronto and university of British Columbia have now the highest ranking in Canada). I hope that my honest review will help you take the right decision. read more
