Vanity is a higher-end piercing studio. It was a real pleasure to visit today to get my nostril…read morere-pierced. The shop is bright and clean, though it does smell like embalming fluid due to it being right next to a funeral home where they do embalmings. Nothing they can do about that... Keri did my piercing and she was so kind and professional. She really knows her stuff...Even though I have had my nostril pierced before, Keri still took the time to talk about aftercare. Keri walked me through everything ahead of time, answered any questions that I had about jewelry options and price. During the procedure Keri was attentive and asked me how I was doing. Of course it hurt, like any piercing does, but her bedside manner was awesome! I will be returning to Vanity in the future, once my piercing heals to have her pierce another nose ring beside the one I just got done today. Vanity also has a large collection of barbells, so I am looking forward to also changing my Industrial piercing with a barbell that is a little bit more aesthetically pleasing.

Tine, my piercer, was wonderful, taking the time to answer any questions I had about my septum piercing. You can tell she really loves and cares about what she is doing, and it made me feel comfortable at ease knowing that I was in good hands. I'm so happy with my septum and it seems to be healing well. The next best thing about this place (besides their piercers and jewellery selection) is that they provide or offer follow up check ups to see how you well your piercing is healing. I would 100% recommend booking an appointment with this place, you will not be disappointed!

When looking for a tattooist, this is it, you have found it! You want a place that is clean,…read morefriendly, and has a front end. Here at Sage there is a booking person/front counter that streamlines the process for the shop. It makes it very easy and you know you are dealing with professionals. After looking at all the profiles of the artists, I chose one and was able to get in with a consult pretty quick. The establishment itself is clean, large, and has nice bathrooms. Everything about it is bright, clean, and open. After my consult we both agreed that this was a good fit and that she would be able to create a tattoo I would love. And sure enough it's awesome. I worked with Elle and have done two full days with her. Sitting in the shop was nice as you can see everyone else and what's going on in the shop. I liked the open feel of it and it did distract me during the more painful spots. I highly recommend this tattoo shop.

I'm updating my review to reflect how this situation was ultimately handled…read more I had an appointment booked and paid a $200 deposit. On the day of the appointment, I experienced a sudden medical emergency. After arriving in the studio parking lot, I had to go directly to the ER, where I spent several hours being assessed. Because it happened in real time, I wasn't able to give advance notice. My sister still attended her appointment that day and let the artist, Elly Roberts, know that I was in the ER. Her booking policy states that emergencies are considered on a case-by-case basis. Afterward, I reached out, explaining the situation and offered to provide proof of my hospital visit. Initially, my appointment was treated as a no-show, and my deposit was forfeited. Then I didn't receive a response to my follow-up email. While I understand the importance of cancellation policies, I did find the lack of response and consideration in this situation disappointing. However, after posting my review, the shop owner, Kevin, reached out to me directly. He was very understanding and offered to refund my $200 deposit in full. I really appreciated him taking the time to look into the situation and resolve it in a fair and professional way. The studio itself seems well run, and I had a positive impression of the owner, but based on my personal experience, I would be hesitant to book with Elly Roberts again. Overall, while my experience with Elly Roberts was frustrating, I do want to acknowledge that the owner made a genuine effort to make things right, which I truly appreciate.

If i could give a rating of no stars i would. I got my septum pierced here, i called and they said…read morethey would have a piercing artist in around 2 so i was there at 2. When i arrived they said he would be 2 hours late. So i went home and came back. When he was finally ready i told him how nervous i was and how i wanted to get my piercing done higher up in my nose so that i could flip it up and hide it when i wanted to. He said it would be better (which was only easier for him) to pierce my septum with a curved barbell. Septum piercing are not supposed to be pierced with curved barbells, but with horseshoe piercing rings. I told him i preferred a horseshoe but he pushed me to get a barbell. So i did. I've never seen anyone so shaky/nervous in my life, let alone a piercing artist. He made me even more anxious and it appeared as it was his first time giving someone a piercing. He had to adjust the clamps 4 times and still didn't have it right. He pierced my septum very low on the tissue part, as soon as i looked at myself in the mirror i knew it was wrong, too low and very crooked. I was so upset and all he said it was not crooked, and it was only lob-sided because it was swollen, and it would heal straight. I got home and the swelling had gone down fully. IT WAS AWFUL. SO CROOKED and ugly! I went through so much pain just to be disappointed. I called the store the next day to ask for my money back as i was very upset about the bad service i received for the price i payed ($70 i think)... I will never be going back to this place and i hope no one else will either.
