There comes a time in everyone's life when you realize that the dust bunnies under the bed are multiplying faster than you can possibly whisk them away. When that day happens you realize that a cleaning service is a necessity and not just an extravagant luxury. I had tried several different happy & jolly maid services, but thought that their prices were outrageous and the actual cleaning left a lot to be desired. After a long out-of-town trip, I came home and realized that my place needed some serious help -- let's perhaps start with an interior pressure washing? I found Universal Cleaning Services (UCS) through an on-line search, and was very impressed by their great reviews. UCS is licensed & insured, and they are a family-owned and operated company. I hired them to do a deep cleaning of my condo, and it took the two of them a little over two hours to get everything done. They were just mopping the floors when I got back, and everything looked fantastic! Extremely reasonable prices too. UCS will be on a once-a-month cleaning schedule for me, and I'm happy to give them a solid 5-star review. Take that you wretched dust bunnies!!! read more

After always doing the move out cleaning myself, I decided to pay someone because I was short on time and didn't want to add stress to an upcoming move. I based my choice off of yelp reviews and decided to go with Universal Cleaning Service. I appreciated the flexibility of their schedule as they were able to fit me in within a few days. Manny was polite and professional. I was given a price which was lower than the other places I researched and a showtime of 10 am for the scheduled cleaning. Today was the day of the cleaning and overall it wasnt a bad experience but I am slightly frustrated with some of the service. There was a mix up with the start time therefore the cleaners arrived to the apartment complex at 0915 which would have been great if I was living there but I've already moved into a hotel. No biggie...they returned and explained the mix up. When making the appointment I was told it would take 3-4 hours to complete the job (1 bedroom, 1 bath apartment) I left the apartment around 10:30 am and it's now 4:02 pm as I'm typing this. I arrived back at the apartment complex around 2:50 pm because it had been some time and I'd heard nothing. When I walked in, the sweet lady from this morning was waiting. She had completed everything except vacuuming because the nice gentleman who was supposed to assist her took off to another location with the vacuum. I've been sitting inside my apartment well over an hour waiting. Not sure if I was charged for one or two cleaners but will be finding out because she's the only one here. She did a good job but not sure it was worth $180 for one person plus the $20 tip I gave (prepaid with credit card). It's now 4:37 pm. The vacuum cleaner arrived finally. I understand hiccups happen but I'm frustrated with the timeline and if I was charged for 2 cleaners. Lesson learned...guess I'll fit cleaning time into my schedule next time...:) read more

Was very impressed with the cleaning services they performed on our home. They were very through job of cleaning our home and even organized some of our things, it was a very great job. Can't say enough about how impressed we were with their cleaning services. This is a family-owned business and seems they come rain or shine because it was pouring rain when they came by! So my roommates and I decided to stop fighting over taking turns cleaning our house and to all chip in for a weekly cleaning service. We decided on UCS based on a neighboors recommendations and the positive yelp reivews. Overall, we are very happy with the service. For the most part, they do a very thorough job. I am the first to admit they deservde hazard pay for cleaning our bathrooms. I would give them 5 stars, except the service is inconsistent. Sometimes they do an immaculate job, but every now and then it is only servicable. I think it really depends on the cleaners you happen to get. Going forward, we are going to request a specific crew since it seems to make a big difference in cleaning quality. I would give 3.5 stars for the inconsistency, but overall am happy so will round up to 4. read more

Love these guys! I first hired them to clean our last apartment for us after we moved out. They did a fantastic job! We now have them coming out every other week to keep our new place clean. They're very thorough and they respect our home. They often go out of the way for us - I've been surprised at times to come home and find out the laundry I left in the washer that morning was nice and dry. Lol. I've used other commercial services in the past and they were just ok, but they have no attention to detail. They come in and run through the place and they're out in 15 mins leaving you wondering what you're paying for. UCS takes their time and does it right. I am very thankful that I chose Universal Cleaning Services. I had a couple of quotes out there and for the price and services, I went with UCS. I requested a move out cleaning and from the beginning, Manny at the office was professional, courteous and answered all of my questions. He scheduled cleaners at the house the next day. The prices for cleaning were very reasonable and the lowest of the quotes that I had received. Mr. and Mrs. Gonzales were very kind and professional and worked with our schedule to ensure that they would do a proper cleaning job and even moved our time with another client to accommodate us. Excellent Cleaners! They were able to fit us in for a move-in cleaning. Even called earlier that morning to see if they could arrive early...Yes! Once we get settled and boxes are off the floor, we want them to come once a week. Our microwave had caked on grease and dirt from previous owners (ugh) -- it was taken apart, vent and all, thoroughly washed...looked new afterwards. Thank you! read more

UCS completed a move out cleaning for me, and I am so impressed with their work. I moved on a rainy weekend on a rushed timeline, so my apartment was dirtier than usual when they arrived. I left a key under the mat since I couldn't meet them and that was no problem. Manny called me to report when they were finished and passed along a thank you from the staff for the cash tip I left. UCS went above and beyond their scope of work. I hired them to do a deep cleaning of my old house when I moved out. There was some stuff left over in the house, which they asked about. I told them to ignore it as the trash can was full, and that I'd throw it all out when they were done. They pulled my trash can in after it was emptied, and threw all the leftover stuff away even though they didn't have to. The place was spotless, they did a phenomenal job. I would recommend their services to anyone. The pricepoint does not even remotely reflect the amazing job they do. I would have paid twice what they charged to get the level of service they provided.
