I would NOT recommend Kabel BW. They had a decent internet service. But the Customer service is terrible. We moved from Stuttgart to Düsseldorf. Kabel BW is owned by unity media, and when we moved we called Kabel BW and told them. The arranged everything for the internet move. I asked what I should do with the old router. They said they did not want it.
Everything seemed good.
All our payments came directly from our account.
So 4 months after the move we received a large bill from them saying we owed not only for the router but all the late fees for not paying for the old router. After several calls we were told that we could just send them the router and them they could see what we owed,
We no longer had the router. And we are still a customer of Unity media, they are still taking payment from us every month. For some unknown reason they did not take money from the router from our account but charged us in the end an extra 200€ in late fees for not sending them a router.
To summarize the made us pay about 250€ for a router they did not want.
Most of that was in the for of late fees for a current customer that has never missed a payment and whom they automatically take payment from.
I think of the customer service as very similar to that of Comcast in the US.
When My contract expires I hope to have a better experience with a DSL provider.
