In the event of a tantrum they always offer him candy, and are always friendly to him. But unfortunately I came here to complain about who I think is the manager. Tall, Hispanic man. I sell clothes on poshmark, & have been using the flats rate boxes available at the PO. Never had a problem. One time I had my husband drop one off for me, and he encountered this man. He told my husband he could not use the package and tried to charge him extra, saying he couldn't use a flat rate box. I thought surely this was a mistake- and the man "let it go" this time but told us to get some different boxes. I continued using the same ones until last week when I encountered him myself. He made me UNPACK my item, and gave me the tiniest little box to use instead and told me to order boxes online at usps.com. He was extremely short tempered and rude during this whole experience. So when I got home I went to the website and the only FREE BOXES available were the EXACT SAME FLAT TATE PRIORITY ones I had been getting from the PO. Then I went onto poshmark and confirmed that those are the boxes I should be using. So I don't know what this guy's problem is, but it seems to me like he just doesn't want me taking their boxes unless I am going to pay for them. Needless to say someone needs to inform him, keep him up to date on his job and he could also use a lesson or 2 is customer service.

Another attendant only gave me the address, but Joel made sure everything was complete. Thanks to him, I realized my paperwork was missing some information. If I had sent it without waiting in line again and without Joel's help, my documents would have been returned as incomplete. Joel was patient, knowledgeable, and truly helpful. His attention to detail and dedication to customer service made a big difference. I highly recommend this location, especially thanks to Joel's outstanding service.

They don't have a package shoot for dropping off packages so you have to wait in line to drop off or leave on the counter near the door. This office has a lot of PO Boxes and a passport office. The package drop off was very easy and the people at the counter are nice and helpful. The passport people are very helpful and can answer any questions you have. They also offer photo services here, would recommend you use them instead of bringing your own. They also have pre printed passport booklets you can fill out so you don't need to print anything at home. I would return to this post office again if I needed to!

I've seen many post offices a lot smaller and stranger than this one. It has the usual P.O. boxes for rent, and a small store inside with boxes, packages, and other supplies to purchase, along with the usual Priority/Express supplies. There is a clean counter to use to prep your items with pens, etc. The gentleman who works here is polite and helpful. I've spent time prepping things at the counter and have overheard him dealing with other customers and he is very patient and kind, especially considering how many elderly appear to use this particular branch.

Man I thought the downtown Lakeland post office was bad but it's the freaking Taj Mahal compared to…read morethis one. And it's not that the service is especially terrible here (slow to be sure, but the clerks are at least pleasant), it's the location, size and poor layout of the place itself. Also, the sign is parallel - not perpendicular - to the street. You know how many times I've driven past this place because I couldn't tell it was a post office?! First of all, it's located on the fastest intersection of S Florida Ave and also the most cramped. I'll bet accidents are common here. Secondly, the parking lot is extremely cramped. I almost got T-boned pulling into it because a car in the first parking space was backing out as I was pulling in and there's no way to go around a car backing out (unless you have a moped maybe). Additionally, there are not one, not two, but THREE wicked blind spots you have to navigate through just to GTFO (see photos). As for the actual post office it's very cramped. The hallways are narrow, the main room is also tiny and quiet. There's usually not too many people here and yet the clerks still take forever to complete transactions. At least they're friendly. There's just no reason to go here. The downtown branch is only a mile or two away and has much easier access parking and a much bigger space. Unless you live within walking distance, I see no reason to use this branch.
