Generally, I'd rather scrape my gums on the nearest curb than go through the exercise of buying a car. These guys break the stereotype- they're easy to deal with and have good cars at good prices. I was totally happy with my purchase and even happier that I didn't spend a night in jail from trying to punch out a car salesman. Win, win, win. If they have what I want when I go to buy my next vehicle, it's on.

After 3 weeks I said I want my money back I can't keep waiting for a car that they don't want to fix and Diane then fraudulently/illegally registered the car under name without a bill of sale or even a title all because they didn't want to give me my money back. Nov.15 I finally get the car; seat belts don't click (only driver), windshield still broken, car making weird noises while driving, turning off and turning on, car shaking really bad especially on reverse, while driving, at a stop sign,CD player doesn't work, Bluetooth doesn't work, lights are out, speakers are practically blown, battery keeps going out causing clock to reset, middle arm rest is broken, tires are shit so is the spare (14 psi), breaks has a weird movement like a pause like of it got stuck half way! which is a safety hazard, they gave me the car with only a quart of gas. Hood will only close if you slam it.Trevor, Diane, the fat old lady that sits by the bathroom, and the fat older guy with glasses like to gang up on you, give a lot of attitude, scream, shout, and act like they're the victim . These bamboons didn't even know the lemon law (they had to Google the shit) or how to sell a car but want to brag about being in business for 43 years. I was told I have a warrenty of 30 days 100 miles but I have to drive the car for 100 miles before getting it inspected because of the new battery when I told them I'm driving 2 miles a day that's impossible and doesn't make sense they got mad and the screaming and jumping around like toddlers started again oh i don't care whatever, whatever not my problem that's yours it's your car now while he rolled his eyes like a teenager on her period(is what I got). I have 4 co workers that vouched for them but I guess how I'm not white this is the reason I'm the only one dealing with this shit storm of morons. The mechanic is even worse he gets offend because you question his work and acts like his youtube diploma is the best work.

My experience with these folks didn't really go well. My son and I visited the business and met…read morewith the owner and his father. They are nice folks who seem to care, but I feel they just don't understand the whole process. I will say, I have not bought and older car for many years. It was a 20 year old Toyota 4Runner, so I really just wanted it in good running condition and was safe and reliable within that context. The car test drove well and seemed pretty good. After having the car for less than a week, a light came on the dashboard for the catalytic converters (fishy). We called and asked them to look into it. Drove the car up from southern CT, only to have a day wasted with no results. Drove it back again, and they sent it out to a muffler shop. When it was returned, the work done was ridiculously substandard. They cut mounts off reconnecting pipes with JB weld. Needless to say, it didn't make it home in one piece. I have since gone somewhere local and had it all fixed and welded properly. After having it at a mechanic, they pointed out lots of other more urgent repairs needed than just some exhaust issue. I guess I hoped their mechanic at NEMC had done a once over and been more thorough. I guessed wrong. You might be able to get a good car from there, but I think you'd be lucky and not necessarily assured by that assumption they do any real inspection. In reality, you're on your own. Get it inspected before you buy. You can't rely on them to truly insure the car is in good, safe condition. Nor can you rely on any work being done to any mediocre standard. Sorry guys, the sell was easy, but the follow up was so poorly done, how could I possibly ever come back. Lesson learned and buyer beware.

DO NOT BUY FROM SHELBY MOTORS - THEY TOOK ADVANTAGE OF A DISABLED SENIOR CITIZEN…read more My dad, a disabled senior citizen, was sold a lemon by Shelby Motors in Springfield, MA. The car has had problems from day one, and the dealership has done nothing but make things worse. He brought the car back for repairs, and not only did they fail to fix the issue, but they also left tools under the hood on the engine and tossed the undercar cover in the trunk--completely careless and unprofessional. They claimed the problem was resolved, but it wasn't. My dad had to take it to his own mechanic and pay out of pocket to fix what Shelby Motors claimed they had already done. And guess what? The car is still having problems. To make matters worse, they sold his old car, which he had traded in, even though it was broken, so now he's left with a faulty vehicle and no way to get back what he had. Shelby Motors, and specifically Dave, have been completely unhelpful. My dad has called multiple times with no response. They clearly don't care once the sale is done. Shelby Motors should be ashamed of how they've treated my father. This is not just bad business -- it's predatory and unethical behavior. We will be reporting this to the Massachusetts Attorney General's Office, the Better Business Bureau, and will be consulting a lemon law attorney. Do not trust this dealership. They took advantage of someone vulnerable and left him stranded with a nightmare of a car.

I had gotten my first car from FDR Auto when I was about 16 and had no issues with it, it was even still running when I decided I needed to upgrade. I had been coming to FDR Auto for about a week before purchasing a car. Everyone I talked to and worked with was professional and devoted to customer satisfaction- Ozzie, Joey & of course Frank. By the time I finally made up my mind on the Jeep, I figured the staff would be annoyed with me and anxious to make a sale. But not these guys, they were patient and we even had some jokes at this point. I never felt pressured to buy a car by anyone here. In fact, they even told me to go home and think about it and that they would give me a call if anyone else seemed interested in the same car I had my heart set on- which I thought was pretty awesome! Upon purchase, they made sure the car was ready to go, polished up and plates on for me! I would recommend this place to anyone, they're awesome people with good intentions! And they even do oil and tire changes with unbeatable prices! Thank you everyone for all your help and patience! I love my Jeep!
