I GOT SCAMMED BY MANAL HAMMAN. I saw the sign at Markville…read moremall for a free hearing test, and since i felt like my hearing has declined over the years i decided to book an appointment. I saw the hearing specialist Manal Hamman, and she said that i had a lot of ear wax and that we should try removing it before doing the test. If it's unsuccessful, I would need to use ear drops for a few days and then come back for the test. She said there was a $30 cost, for which I SPECIFICALLY ASKED IF IT WAS FOR THE EAR DROPS. She replied that i may not need the ear drops after the cleaning, so I said ok we'll see how it goes then. So AFTER the cleaning, the receptionist informed me that it was $30/ear for the ear cleaning!! I was 100% not made aware of this cost clearly, but Manal insisted that she made it clear. By then, she had already performed the cleaning so there was nothing I could do but pay for an overpriced service that MY FAMILY DOCTOR OFFERED TO DO FOR FREE. I am so upset that i got scammed for $60. The hearing test itself was only about a minute in a soundproof room. I don't normally fall for traps, but in this case I really did all I could to get the right information but was clearly not properly informed. I will never recommend this place to anyone.

It was a few weeks later and the issue was still there, very irritating. I arrived and was greeted in a very friendly atmosphere. The Audiologist checked my ear with the equipment and it showed a blockage of wax way up high. It required irrigation which did not hurt just a bit of flushing. I was very relieved when I seen the small particles come out into the water. My ears were rechecked to see if the levels were balanced and everything was back to normal. Thank you Lauren and Colleen!
