This review is delayed due to the need for a rational review. On April 25 ,2026 I had an appointment for Firestone to inspect my brakes. The brake pedal was spongy and a few times it went to the floor while driving. The cars rotors and brakes were repaired in early 2025 at LZ Firestone. Walter stated the brakes were showing wear at 50% and didn't need to be replaced yet. The brake fluid exchange was completed in early 2025 but that service was recommended again. Walter said the technician drove the vehicle and did not experience any issue with the brake pedal. On April 30, 2026, I took my car to a Kia Dealership due to the continued concern with the brake pedal to the floor and having to be pumped to stop. The technician video taped his inspection and the inspection revealed: 1. Brake calipers and caliper pins were ceased 2. Rotors were warped 3. Sub par brake grease was used 4. Brake fluid was not drained fully - only drained out of the reservoir 5. The master brake cylinder also was not functioning/ceasing and had to be replaced If left up to the Firestone staff incompetence, my brakes could easily have ceased and caused a serious auto crash.

My daughter lives in the city and she brought her car out to me because her steering wheel wasn't "straight" and she was hearing a noise sometimes when she turned. I drove the car and couldn't recreate the noise she was hearing after circling around a parking lot for ~10 minutes. I made an appointment with Lindberg Automotive (after getting a referral to them from a friend) to get her car's front-end aligned. We dropped the car with the owner, Doug Lindberg, who is as personable guy as you'd ever want to meet. Doug called me after a few hours to have me come back over and look at the car because he felt additional work was definitely required. We got under the vehicle together, and I concurred with the issues he and his technician identified. Doug kept the vehicle overnight so his technician could make the necessary repairs, and I can't tell you how happy I was with the result. My daughter was also overjoyed with how her car drove. I could have taken the vehicle home and done the repairs myself (albeit much, much slower), but I was under a major time crunch given my daughter needed to get to work and home every day in the city. I trusted Doug to get the job done, and it was done quickly, accurately, and at a very reasonable price. I will be recommending Lindberg Automotive to anyone I know who needs a top-shelf, trustworthy shop for automotive repairs. I also told Doug that I'd be back whenever I had a repair I couldn't handle on my own. I love knowing I have a shop I can trust to do the job right if I need them.

I also had knee surgery recently, so kneeling to get to the tires, wasn't something I could easily do. I stopped by this Midas location and was fortunate enough to speak with Joe, who is at the front desk. He kindly filled my tires with air. He did not charge me. It was very kind and generous of him to do especially on a day that was extremely hot and humid. When you first walk in to the location, it is actually quite nice. Very clean and has lots of beautiful plants. It really is a nice atmosphere. Not like the usual dirty car repair place. While I was waiting, I noticed magazines in the waiting area. They had a great selection of magazines and they were up-to-date. It seems common that magazines that are available are usually outdated and several years old. Highly recommend!
