The hosts Jeff and Cindy were fabulous! They worked tirelessly to make my visit the best possible. The house is gorgeous, as was my room. While i was there, they hosted a mixer for my reunion, as well as a concert and an open mike. All of the events were very well managed including everything from food and beverages, and somehow seating around 100 people. They even handled the interruption of a couple thunderstorms, preventing the parties from becoming a disaster. I will visit again everytime I visit Pueblo. I encourage anyone considering a Pueblo trip to stay here. Thanks very much for your hospitality!

She was very pleasant. the drink tickets for the CLINK were a nice surprise. There should be more historical information in the hotel. I remember when people used to stay there, before it was a hotel!

Visited Pueblo for an evening and stayed at The Rusted Poppy…read more When making the reservation they failed to mention a wedding was taking place that night AT the bed and breakfast (no access to the grounds when a wedding takes over)...or that the stairs to the carriage house where unfinished...or that the entire wedding party would be using the bathroom below us. Room was cute but there there were black curly hairs all over the bathroom (I'm bald and my girlfriend that joined me is blonde)...coffee maker had old coffee grounds in it and the fridge had old noodles in a Tupperware container. Furnace shook the floor/walls and was very loud. There was an uncomfortable daybed where a couch would have been preferred. Place sure looks cute - great character in the building and the gardens are eclectic and fun looking...poor execution makes this a place I will not revisit, which is unfortunate as it has potential.

The staff is here has always been awesome. Polite, professional, and always welcoming. The house keepers do a great job and the rooms are always clean and everything put away and ready for the guest. Beds are comfortable, the heat/AC works. The bathroom was clean, no hairs or other mystery items found in the shower. The sink was missing the drain stopper, but that was the only issue. The entryway had a broken water pipe in the ceiling, so there was an impromptu waterfall in the lobby. :) Overall, it's a decent hotel, even though it is very dated. Not like 1990s, but the interior is showing its age. The location is safe, there are restaurants and a confidence store all within walking distance. The staff is great. There is a limited bar/bistro in the lobby with lots of seating and a marketplace for water/candy/soda.

Which, for their big exhibit on a mining disaster with a life-size, almost hologramish girl, walking me through it. It was a chapter of us history I did not know, and they told it it incredible (and at times horrifying) detail. But you left understand the fear of the miners and their families and their desire to unionize. Pandemic: Clear and redundant covid signage heading in. Full contact tracing, PPE, etc, and even though I had it to myself, exhibits and museum capacity were limited to small #s of people in signage as you enter each area. Very impressive. In a way, how Pueblo handles covid, is its own history. As for all our cities. This is the first museum I've entered since the pandemic began. It was a sight for sore eyes, and an a feast for my hungry brain. Very well organized, and really kind staff. And I am amazed at the history I have glimpsed, in this now... small peaceful town. We visited today after a long hiatus. This is certainly among the lamest museums we have ever had…read morethe misfortune to tour. It SHOULD be a repository of artifacts about the varied history, cultures and ethnicities that have built the City of Pueblo from the 1840s to present. What it IS is something different. There are three sections. One gives a very brief history of the establishment of the original trading post/fort/community established in 1842 and its demise. The rest of the section focuses almost exclusively on the Hispanic people of the area as well as the indigenes. Display placards, all of which are in Spanish first, then English through the museum, consistent label American settlers as 'colonizers' and 'anglos' throughout. The second section, is dedicated completely to the steel industry labor movement in Pueblo. The third is about a small, fringe section of the city, featured because of the strong presence of citizens with Hispanic heritage. There's a lot of wasted space in the attractive building. Years ago, it used to have many more artifacts and gave a somewhat more balanced presentation of the rich history of Pueblo. Most all artifacts that do not support the present narratives are removed.

I haven't been to this restaurant in probably 20 years and it wasn't the same. The place used to be packed on Friday nights with a mariachi band playing, but now it's just drab. The walls were dirty, being a building with no windows it'd be better to give the walls a fresh coat of brighter paint, invest in new silverware, and have salt/pepper shakers on the table, and maybe play a little music. A little refresh could go a long way in giving this restaurant the potential it had back. The menu was also a bit confusing as the drinks were only photos with no descriptions or pricing and the combinations weren't very clear either. I'd revamp the menu, and make a few upgrades (maybe bring the Mariachi band back on the weekends) and boom Nachos is back.

Pueblo don't have that many museums to compite with. But compared to others children's museum that we have visited, this one is the less attractive. Still a great choice to visit while in Pueblo, it will keep the little ones entertained. It took us around 2 hours to walk all the areas and play around. The areas were well keep and the employees were nice.
