Such a great find!…read more Spent a night in Lille after arriving from London with the Eurostar and where looking for a nice place to have a french lunch and decided to try this little bistro in the middle of the city. They have a great value set meny for only 16,90 € for appetizer and entré. I had the chicken liver paté as a starter that was very nice. The star of the place though is the main wich is a thinly sliced perfect medium rare entrecote in a green herb garlic butter sauce thats hard to describe. The meat was so delicious with the sauce and some crispy french fries. Together with a glass of rosé this was the perfect summer lunch in Lille. The waiter was superfiendly and we had a great time there. Value was amazing with a meal that would have easily been double the price back home in Scandinavia.

I was looking forward to eating a nice fillet that evening and was recommended the langue du chat (cat's tongue, never heard of it before), which turned out to be a most tender and juicy, almost fat-free piece of meat, just as I had in mind. The waiters (actually, one waiter, and the chef himself), were very friendly and attentive. Bottom line: If you're looking for a nice piece of meat, accompanied by tasty starters and a good glas or bottle of wine, you should visit this place instead of falling victim to one of the tourist traps in the Rue du Gand.

This is what I call an emotional lift. The place has been…read morechosen as the best kebab in Lille so, for sure, I gave it a shout, couldn't miss that. I have nothing to say regarding the staff, they are nice, welcome you well and the back of the place is great as well with quite a lot table (compared to other places) to sit in. But I've been disappointed by the kebab itself. As "the best", I think I have expected too much and, even if they put red cabbage and some other ingredients that a normal kebab doesn't have, it didn't really blow my mind. Even the fries or the sauce have nothing particular. The biggest problem is that, if they wouldn't have been nominated at the best, I'd probably have put 4 stars. Nothing makes them the best, the kebab is just great without being awesome.
