It's a warm, welcoming, and accommodating practice from the moment you walk in the door. I've been hunting for a trustworthy and "the right" chiropractor for years now and I can honestly say, I found that with The Source. We drive ~45 mins to get to them but they are worth every traffic battle. Here's my long winded experience in case you are on the fence about seeing them: The first time patient visit encompasses everything you wished your previous chiropractors would do - testing your mobility and movement, resistance and strength, any aches or pains or discomfort or concerns - not just with a piece of paper where you write all of these things down but with you moving, walking, squatting, and provider guided testing. It was a process that was not rushed, very informative, and extremely appreciated. Both my husband and I felt seen and heard from our very first visit - really from the very first phone call when I inquired about care I felt that way. I've never had that much of an in-depth on-boarding patient experience before. The treatment plans, for both my husband and I, were thoughtfully laid out and explained and got us excited about the care. I am postpartum with my second born and my career is hard on my body - I have been being treated for almost 3 months now and I can adequately say I feel different in the best way. I've had a rib that's been out of position for 20 years that was repositioned into it's appropriate place (ouch during recovery but WORTH IT) and I no longer have a "drop shoulder" and I can breathe deeper. My posture is better and I am more mindful with my ergonomics while working. My pelvic floor is getting stronger and my low back pain when bending over is gone. I used to get extreme headaches when jumping up and down and now I can jump around with my kids without issue (it was explained to me why I get headaches when I jump and how they can help correct this). 10/10 thankful over here. My husband has also been in care with The Source for almost 3 months and he is leaps and bounds better than when he first walked in the door. He has dealt with chronic pain for 10+ years, mood outbursts from that pain, and restrictions. He's been to physical therapy, chronic pain doctors, pain management and rolfing massage therapists, myofascial unwinding specialists, and now chiropractic care. He still has a long way to recovery but he's in the best hands. Going to give one last TMI share here before ending *the longest review ever* - since receiving care there have been vast improvements in mood and libido. I am very grateful for that. After several accidents and at least as many chiropractors I have virtually no good discs left in my spine. It is so bad that the last Dr I saw unadjusted me 4 or 5 times and after no real results sent me to imaging. Once he saw the film he called me into his office and explained that he could no longer work on me. "Adjustments would be too risky". Yikes! I went on for several years until I met Dr Colette. At this point I was verbally complaining so many times a day about my pain that I didn't even hear myself anymore. I brought my images in and her staff explained a treatment plan. The Dr made some pretty lofty statements about my care and what she could do for me and I was skeptical for sure. After the first visit I knew things were different. She believes in total care. Everything was explained in a way that made sense. Treatment is a science not smoke and mirrors. I don't rotate from aotumated bed to bed and after that initial visit I slept through the night with no pain! I assumed it was a lucky coincidence and returned to discuss my success only to find out that by treating my spine she would also help my wheasing, sinusitus, shortness of breath and several ailments I thought unrelated! It's been 2 weeks and I must say I'm a true believer! I have repeatedly driven to work and gingerly gotten out of the car only to realize I HAVE NO PAIN! My poor damaged back is functioning like a healthy one and I honestly don't know how to act. As a bonus, because the inflammation in my neck is down my sinuses are clear and I no longer have to take meds to dry up before sleep. My wheasing is gone and I'm not constantly gasping for a breath. I looked on Yelp as it is my Go-To search app during out of town adventures. I searched and read many Chiropractic reviews before calling Dr. D. One of my main criteria was to find a physician who attended a school that I felt was highly reputable educationally (e.g., having attended Parker or Palmer schools). The other criteria was to find a Chiropractor whom I trusted would not take advantage of the "moment" (me being in significant pain and being from out of town). As a fellow chiropractor I can tell you that they come in all varieties. Some have their heart in the right place while others can be $ mercenaries. It became obvious to me early in the process that Dr. D has a caring spirit. Had I felt otherwise, I would have turned around and walked out--and highly recommend the same for anyone seeking care. [As for this gentleman, if you are looking for a healing hand and spirit, he fits the bill completely.] ABOUT THE EXPERIENCE: As a chiropractor, one of my flaws is "self-diagnosing" myself. I went in thinking S-I joint issues--even tho I taught my wife how to perform a couple of tests on me that came up negative. Dr. D performed a series of tests and had other thoughts. After reviewing some x-rays, his evaluation of the images matched his Ortho findings. He adjusted my lower lumbar spine and worked on my psoas muscle. There was noticeable relief. I returned the following day. We discussed a previous injury to my knee which had notable scar tissue. He felt that may have played a role in my back pain as I had developed some compensatory movement in my gait. I had a Duh-moment as I had honestly never made that connection. But, he was spot on. At any rate, by the time he performed some manual therapy on it, my range of motion showed significantly noticeable improvement. Dr. D is well-educated, possessing great patient skills, insightfulness and tools in his toolbox for healing whatever ails you. I would highly recommend him to my family, friends and patients.
