The show was a little dry for my 2 year old but we enjoyed watching and learning about the crocs. The splash pad was a hit. There is also a lot of conservation work that goes on in this zoo. The monies generated by the zoo fund these projects. That said, I got to see a lot of fascinating animals that are native to Australia. Of course, the koalas are so darn cute. They don't really do anything other than sit in their little branch, feed on the eucalyptus occasionally, and poop (they apparently do that even while they sleep). Kangaroos and other marsupials were also at the top of my list to see. Nature is just amazing. I won't go through all the critters, but the variety was impressive. Be sure to visit the Africa exhibit and the bird feeding shows. I'll share some logistics. It's a big place, so expect to walk a lot. Bring a hat and sunscreen. Bring water. You can even bring your own food, but they have multiple eateries throughout. If you are staying in downtown Brisbane, there's a cheap bus that goes directly there. It was the most straightforward and cheapest option. The bus was clean and the ride was enjoyable.
