The shop itself is not as large as other antique locations in the area and the selection seemed limited and included mostly upscale items with a higher price point. Nothing wrong with that, if that's your choice in an antique shop. If you're in Avondale, and looking for upscale antiques, I recommend you give them a try.

All cottages, A/C, friendly faces, eye catching set up, plus a friendly face. Very clean. Myself, enjoyed the old dusty barn, filled with yesterday's memories, prices were a delight. The Bayard Antique Village is a combination of small houses and a large barn that has different…read morevintage and antique items along with art. Some of the houses had really nice collectibles and items. The main reason for three star rating has to do with the fact that many of those houses were closed and the barn located in the center of the village left a lot to be desired. The barn is hot, its floor is not secure and there are old fans inside that just seem dangerous. This really has to be fixed up and refurbished before this barn can be used properly. You can find a good value here. There are quite a few vendors, some wanted to haggle which I had not seen at other vintage shops. The village just needs to be coordinated and organized better. There are some very good vendors but there is a huge drop off as well. When the village is open, all of the vendors should be available.

I have seen them sell name brand shoes and purses for a while now. And I was not looking for much, just whatever I could get. They told me to try Plato's closest because they purchase shoes and purses. I went to them out of loyalty and comfort. Knowing I would be treated fairly. But as I was being denied a few dollars while standing next to shoes in much worse shape and worth less than mine that they had up for sale, my ego got admittedly a bit bruised. Like my stuff was not good enough to sell next to the crap they already have up for sale. I have pawned things, sold things and bought things from this location ample times over the last 5 years. But after that today I will not be a customer here any longer. Not necessarily because they wouldn't buy my stuff, but rather the manner in which I was disregarded was not right. Some of the staff here is genuinely kind and knowledgeable, but the current management is just toxic. End of my rant.
