While the diagnosis was dispiriting, Dr Neil Christensen and nurses Jenni and Sonia from Radiation Oncology consulted and supported my family through every step of the process. Dr Christensen is a fantastic oncologist who went above and beyond to treat my dog. Even after we completed treatment, Dr Christensen took time to address any relevant concerns and consulted with other specialists from Neurology and Ophthalmology to ensure his advice was accurate. Jenni and Sonia build excellent rapport with pet patients, so much so that my mastiff almost seemed sad to go home! The fact that SASH is open 24 hours a day, every day of the year gave me peace of mind. I knew that if an emergency were to arise I could take my dog straight there where his medical history was readily accessible. The administrative staff were highly organised and efficient, and particularly helpful with pet insurance claims. Review of SASH Prospect…read more Terrible experience. In an emergency, we expected compassion -- instead we were pressured to sign an extremely high estimate or our pet wouldn't be treated. When I asked for a clear clinical explanation, none was provided. It felt transactional and exploitative at a moment when we were scared and vulnerable. There was zero empathy for our pet or for us. Don't waste your time with the survey or escalating to management -- it leads nowhere. No one should leave an animal hospital feeling this shaken

We had to come back as we were concerned about our kitten's sneezing and watery eyes and we saw Dr. Prue this time around, and she was just as helpful and thorough with us, checking just about everything to make sure our cat is in tip top condition. I'm very impressed with the doctors and staff here, you can tell all of them has a great appreciation for animals and this makes you feel that bringing your pet here means they will get the best care and service possible.
