This one delivers. From the moment I walked in, the energy was right. Abraham and Jordan at the front desk? Total professionals. Friendly, sharp, respectful. No attitude, no nonsense -- just, "Here's your one-day pass, enjoy." Amen to that. And then... the HydraMassage. What. In. The. World. As soon as I sat down on that machine, it was game over. Five minutes in and I'm thinking, "Yep. I'm upgrading." I walked straight back to the front desk and signed up for the Black Membership on the spot. No hesitation. That Hydra alone is worth it. Since the North County fair mall closed their 24 hour fitness I went to La Terraza Gym. It was really tough at the beginning because it was a new place and was difficult to find the equipment that I needed, but we figured it out. But now that I am more comfortable with this Gym and with my seeing-eye dog, the one person that I like to speak with is Edwin he is at the front desk and takes care of me, my seeing-eye dog, and my wife every day I think I put my QR code on my Apple Watch and try to scan it and he always says it's not there so he helps me every time so I really appreciate him. Since the 24 Hour Fitness location at the mall was closed and this facility became the primary location, the condition here has noticeably deteriorated. Approximately 75% of the cardio equipment--including StairMasters, ellipticals, and treadmills--is either broken, outdated, heavily worn, dirty, or appears unsafe to use. This is not simply an issue of appearance or convenience--it is a serious safety concern. How is this facility operating with so much equipment in this condition? Members are paying for access to a safe, functional, and properly maintained gym, and that is not what is being provided. The equipment needs to be repaired, replaced, and properly maintained immediately. I am honestly surprised this facility has not faced greater scrutiny regarding these conditions. Closing the mall location while keeping this facility open makes little sense given the current state of the equipment. At this point, I will be submitting a formal complaint to corporate management because this situation needs to be addressed. With the amount members pay for memberships, there is no excuse for a recently remodeled facility to have this level of broken, worn-out, and potentially unsafe equipment. I expect this matter to be taken seriously and corrective action to be taken promptly.
