I recently finished rehab at GRPT. I worked primarily with Joe who was very professional and…read moreknowledgeable. He designed a customized exercise plan for me to follow as well as a post discharge plan for me to follow at home. Jean and Lauren, at the desk were always available to provide information regarding scheduling and insurance issues. The entire staff was friendly and supportive, particularly Nealy, a therapy assstant who helped me so much while performing my exercises. I totally recommend this facility to anyone needing rehab, looking for a warm, comfortable and effective environment in which to recover. Rosalie W.

Glen Rock Physical Therapy is outstanding in every way and I recommend it 100%. Prior to going…read morethere I had been to 2 other PT places which were ineffective and unprofessional. At Glen Rock PT I worked with Paul, the owner, who was outstanding. He spent time listening to me and working with me to find the best way to deal with my symptoms and also to help me to build my strength back. Paul never rushed and was very compassionate and thought "out of the box" regarding ways to help me heal and improve. I can not say enough about the excellent treatment I received from Paul in addition to all of his staff. I also worked briefly with 2 other of the PT's - Brian and Kathy and I received excellent treatment from them as well. All of the staff members (the aides, the office staff) were extremely kind and helpful. I would never go anywhere else!

When I choose a healthcare provider my concern is the quality of that healthcare service. I am a…read morehealthcare provider, not with this group, and I understand the issues with office staff. I am offended when a patient or spouse gives a provider one star because someone may have been rude or kept them waiting or didn't return a phone call as quickly as they may have liked. We are all human and can, at times, be overwhelmed with the volume of patients at that moment. Some providers are warmer than others. The question remains do they know want is best for the patient and did they communicate that to the patient. My experience and my wife's separate experience with doctors of this group in the Mahwah office make me feel the professional services provided here are outstanding. I can easily recommend this group over any other orthopedic group in Bergen County. And unfortunately we have encountered other groups and their tactics and missed diagnosis.

I had a fantastic experience with Ridgewood orthopedics, especially with Dr Pizzurro…read more I first contacted them a year ago and told them that I was looking for a second opinion for my knee. The doctor explained that I did need a knee replacement. His scheduler called to put me on the schedule in April, but I needed to wait because of work and travel obligations. I had my knee replaced in November. Every time I have called someone calls me back right away, and when I sent in the paperwork for FMLA, it was returned to me, completed, immediately. I think that Dr Pizzurro's team have all been top-notch. Friends who have had knee replacements with other doctors and that other hospitals are not doing as well as I am. I followed the doctor's protocol and I am ahead of schedule. Even my home physical therapist was amazed at how much I was able to accomplish in the first two weeks. I highly recommend Dr. Pizzurro and Ridgewood Orthopedics, and I have already talked another friend into going to him.

After that period I went to the orthopedist. I had a prescription for 12 sessions at PT. A work colleague had been to A R Rehab and recommended it to me. My pain was essentially gone after about nine sessions. It was a bit more painful at the onset, but I suppose that is to be expected. My therapy routine and the recommendation of what to do on the off days helped alleviate the pain after about six weeks of treatment.

It's blatantly obvious she is pushing maximum volume through the office, which I can only see as being beneficial for her, financially. She has the patients run through exercises on their own and then spent minimal time actually treating me. Her attention span is horrific, and I got so frustrated that I started recording the time she spent working on my injury, which averaged between four and a half to eight minutes. Often times, she would stop working on me to turn to talk to another patient about something frivolous such as grilling recipes or day camp. After spending over a thousand dollars in PT sessions, I was forced to go to another physical therapist group in the area. The average physical therapist works on his/her clients one on one for approximately 30-45 minutes a session, not less than ten minutes, which was I experienced here. If you're serious about healing your injury and getting back to an active lifestyle as soon possible, do your homework and go elsewhere.
