I'm always a sucker for good coffee and this is one of the few places in Europe that delivered. This place is cute, quaint, cozy and serves beer too. You can find the coffee shop in the front and the beer bar in the back. They have free wifi and amazing banana nut muffins. I know that's so weird, I'm not even usually a muffins person but this was one delightful muffin. Great place to relax, and unwind after a day of sightseeing!

The place itself is rather spacious and the basement part served as a venue this evening for an event on band lyrics . Yes, there are often events related to litterature and other intellectual topics and you should follow their Facebook page to get updates. Litteraturhuset lies at the bottom of Majorstuen and next to the Royal garden - a nice location in summer, but rather grey and hidden away in the dark evenings of winter. Still, the place was full and is obviously pop. If on a roll, go by Lorry while at it- it's just around the corner!

It might possibly be an old, refurbished industrial complex or warehouse. Spent about 90 minutes in this place, and saw everything. Admission was free so that's a big bonus, especially on a rainy day :-). The staff is very friendly and you'll also find an attached store and modern vegan restaurant inside (which we're going to check out tonight). We left the place inspired by this well presented exhibition.

Ever since my I've moved to Oslo, my Norwegian friends have been boasting about having the biggest…read moremovie theatre auditorium in Europe (if not the world). I didn't think much of it until I finally went there last night to watch La La Land. and holy moly, it's impressive! The theatre itself has several auditoriums, but it's only auditorium one that is that big and offers the gorgeous half dome ceiling! Definitely worth it! P.S. and of course no need for me to tell you to buy your own candy and soda from elsewhere because well 1) we're in a movie theatre and 2) it's in Norway, so you'd basically pay 700 dollars for a piece of gum. :P
