This store was a big disappointment for me. The initial impression is a traditional watchmaker's workshop with real personal service and technical competence. The watchmaker-feel was the only reason I trusted them and I decided to purchase a watch from them. Uhr Werk claimed that they were an authorized service point for that particular brand. The watch I purchased was running a bit too fast and I took it to the watchmaker at Uhr-Werk for a check and eventually an adjustment. I did not hear from these people for ten days and when I phoned them, I was told that my watch was sent to Swatch Austria and it will take another ten days to hear from them. I could not believe my ears and am now totally enraged with such deception. I could have bought this watch anywhere, including online, and gotten the same level of lousy impersonal service. What is the point of having a team of watchmakers, if they cannot do simple service on a brand-new watch? My advice to anyone would be not to trust the nostlgic Watchmaker marketing rubbish of Uhr Werk. It is only a way to take advantage of the customer. read more
