Had a large area of our roof refurbished which included complete Tile Lift & Lay Installed To Manufacturer Specifications And Industry Standards. We are very pleased with the job done by Eddie Alvarodo and his crew. From the initial proposal to final clean up this job was done professionally, very experienced with pride in workmanship. We were always kept informed of the status of the project. We would recommend UEC Roofing without hesitation. read more

I highly recommend UEC for anyone in need of roofing services! We had a couple of leaks, and I was terrified to call a roofing company because of the horror stories I've heard. A friend recommended UEC, and after our recent rain and our El Niño threat, I figured I'd better bite the bullet. Randy, Jesse, and Eddie responded immediately to my inquiry, came out to assess my roof on a holiday weekend, and had me on the schedule with the repairs completed within less than 3 weeks from my initial contact! And the best part...I didn't feel like they were trying to "scam" me at all! They provided clear pictures of what needed repair, gave me a very reasonable quote, and never even tried to add additional charges later. They were in constant communication, provided "after" pictures when the job was complete, and made sure I received a copy of the invoice marked as "paid in full" with a zero balance owed and a copy of the warranty information. After all the horror stories, I am so blessed and lucky that my first call was to such a great and honest company! Thank you, UEC! read more

Everything went smoothly and they quick and pricing was fair. This is the second time I used them.

We initially contacted Randy with UEC in March of '26 for a roof repair estimate. He showed up on time, with a great attitude and was very patient in explaining where the issue was and the best way to go about repairing it. UEC's pricing for this estimate was on par with, and actually better than, other roofing contractors in our area. At the time of the estimate, we were involved in an insurance battle, and were forced to put off repairs as we dealt with this issue. Randy was very understanding when we had to put the project on hold, and as soon as we were ready, his crew got the job done. The property was left clean and they took all materials/trash etc with them when they left. We appreciated the clear communication, and the honesty we felt from them. The entire process was simple, straightforward, as promised, timely and efficient. Definitely recommend! read more

I don't recommend UEC for work needed promptly or for confidence of a job done well. They were a higher price than others but I went with them based on reviews which was a huge mistake. TL;DR: My $6K repair project was mismanaged--slow to start, abandoned halfway, then billed, with no oversight or communication and was gaslit in the process. The work doesn't match the contract or our verbal agreements, as pipes and satellites remain on the roof. That said, I am not confident in the quality of what was done. TL; Want to Read?: The project started 2-3 months after signing the contract (a crew just randomly showed up one day unannounced) then was left unfinished and fell completely off their radar for 5 weeks - in the May rain and all. I was billed without any confirmation the job was done, and only after I requested a walkthrough did a crew show up and work the full day without letting me know --proving it wasn't complete. Then left at the end of the day without any communication if it was done or if they needed to come back. When I was billed again, I asked for a walkthrough to double check everything done (I could see the satellites and piping that was supposed to come off)- I was told they don't do walkthroughs to verify work was done for repairs. Apparently, even if $6,000 repairs, don't warrant that luxury - Or if they lost complete oversight of your job. Eddie, the project manager, only contacted me when it was time to collect payment. He also lied about speaking during project set up (I was told he was going to reach out for scheduling and deposit but that never happened. People literally showed up out of nowhere) while threatening a lien on my property before coming to verify the job was finished. When we met in person, It was clear he was unaware of the details of the signed contract and blamed the sales rep for writing the scope. He also promised the crew would return that same day to remove satellite dishes since the workers and Lauren in accounting previously agreed to remove--then ghosted the moment he got the check. Worst managed project I've ever dealt with. read more

I had a leak. Got 4 quotes and UEC came in fairly priced and cheap compared to 2 of the other companies. They communicated well and got the job done efficiently and did a great job. They even painted my evae for free (I provided the paint) that had rotted and they replaced. Will hire again for any future roof issues. Thanks Damien for your great level of communication through it all. read more

I had a leaky patio roof I needed to have fixed. I got the three bids and UEC came in the lowest. They did a good job putting down the new flat roof, very professional. After the big rains here in Escondido I noticed the patio roof was leaking again. I called the company and they promptly sent out a roofing technician to figure out the problem. He inspected the patio roof and said everything was fine but he did notice two broken Spanish red tiles on our house's roof. UEC was hired to only do the patio roof but they replaced the cement Spanish tiles that were broken! I had some extra tile in the backyard. I would say that is above and beyond the roofing call of duty! I'm a happy customer. Christine read more

I have been in the process of selling my home and we needed to do some roofing work before we could move forward with the sale. I reached out to UEC roofing and worked with Eddie since the beginning. I was on a time crunch during the whole process and Eddie was amazing at coming out for an estimate quicker than any other roofing company I called, he sent the quote quicker than anyone else, and he was just over all very professional and pleasant. Eddie was so understanding about the time crunch and he made sure we had everything completed in less than a week! Because of his understanding and urgency, we were able to successfully move forward in the sale of our home! UEC saved the day and got it done accurately, professionally, and quickly! 10/10 recommend and very impressed by Eddie and his team! I will definitely be using this company for any future projects we need. Thank you UEC for a wonderful experience from start to finish!! read more

Needed an estimate on roof repair. Damien explained the situation with clarity and sincerity. His knowledge of roofing was obviously extensive. A drone to replace a ladder was a nice touch. BUT the remarkable part was he sent me down a path not involving UEC Roofing for the job. Looking out for me the customer not just trying to make money. Pretty awesome. read more

Our first experience with this company was a positive one, albeit expensive, but they did offer us a senior discount. Randy came out for a quote shortly after our request was posted here on Yelp. He was courteous, professional and informative. The use of their drone helped to show us what the roof looked like, and what needed to be done. He was prompt with texts and emails when needed. The work was completed a bit earlier than the 2/3 week delay we expected due to a cancellation they had. We were anxious to get it done prior to more expected rain and to settle our plans for a pending trip out of state. Francisco and his crew completed the work in one days time. They also provided photos of before and after that were helpful. We expect this roof job to last several years and if we have any future problems I will add to this post. For now, we are happy to recommend their services. read more

I highly recommend UEC roofing to anyone who is needing a roof repair. Working with Eddie for our estimate and then Eric for the day of repairs, this was a very smooth and stress free process for an otherwise stressful situation (roof leak). We received our estimate on Friday and the work was completed the next day - Talk about incredible service!! 10/10 would recommend! read more

UEC completed a roof replacement for us, along with a surprise board replacement over most of the garage. Francisco communicated well and we knew what was happening every day. The team worked a few long days to take care of the surprise on the garage and were awesome. I never felt worried or stressed about the project and they made it so easy for us. UEC wasn't the least expensive estimate I received, but I do think they're best value if you're looking for professional roofing and peace of mind on your investment. Thanks again y'all read more

I had a leak in the valley of my roof. Francisco responded to my quote request immediately. He called me and informed me of what the work would include and what the price was. He followed up with photos of some work they've done on similar projects and I was very impressed. I could tell these guys were the real deal! Francisco came to my house, launched a drone and took photos of my roof and showed me the problem area. He was so professional and knowledgeable. Very transparent with me. I felt like nothing was hidden and nothing felt shady. I was aware of everything happening. They came out the very next day and finished the job! They were very quick, clean, and quiet! I am beyond impressed! Francisco sent me progress photos of my roof. What it looked like before during and after. Like I said VERY transparent and professional. Their online payment process was quick and easy as well! If you need any roof repairs these are your guys! If I could give them more stars I would! HIGHLY recommend! read more

I requested roof repair due to a leak from recent rains. They were able to get me on schedule due to additional rains coming in the next few days. Francisco and his crew came to my house and let me know what they were going to be doing today and about how long the job was going to take. A little while prior to the repairs being completed he came back to provide me an update. Very professional courteous and great customer service! Pricing was good compared to other estimate. read more

We had roof leaks/skylight replacement done.Randy (sales) and Francisco(project manager) were absolutely wonderful in communication with us in what was being done, solutions to issues found, and overall consistent quick communication throughout the project. We have owned 6 homes over the years, all needing repairs of some sort. This company and its reps are top of the list in terms of satisfaction, especially since this was more of a nuisance job for them.I would recommend them for any job at any time-great work!! read more

If you're not a "big job", you're not their priority. Communication is awful...I think they have too many cooks in the kitchen or something because they don't communicate internally which leads to their customer communication being slow/awful. List of issues: no-show on day job was to be performed, when they were at the house: hammer fell off roof, they got paint on my house due to improper maintenance (should have painted wood on the ground before installing...not after the board was put on house), they left the area a mess (nails on ground, wood splinters on ground) I would rather not have a roof at all than ever use this company again. read more

I think they are very pricey but my issue is, they were out two weeks ago to repair my roof along my fireplace. There work was poor to begin with and now my roof is leaking again at fireplace and they do not want to give me my money back or even offer a partial refund and now my drywall that I just replaced by my fireplace inside is damaged again, nor do they want to pay for that because it says in the contract they don't pay for any damages, even though they didn't fix my roof, right. I will be going to small claim. They charged me $2700 to make repairs and they couldn't even do that correctly . I absolutely 100% do not recommend this company. Beware! Find somebody else. read more

This is the 2nd time I've used UEC for roof repair (two separate areas of my roof) in the last 2 years. These guys do really great work, and both times I got multiple quotes from other companies, and their price is very competitive. This 2nd time they offered to do general roof maintenance to prevent this issue from happening in any other areas, which I'm sure is well worth the money spent. I'll use them again and absolutely suggest you call UEC out for a quote next time you need a repair. I've also found their office staff very friendly; the workers who did the work are very considerate and clean up after themselves; I haven't found a single thing I don't like about this company. read more

Very rarely does a company call you back knowing that they WON'T be doing the job you need done. Certainly not after business hours. Excellent communication and customer service. Free estimates. Francisco identified our issue quickly and professionally. Thank you.

I had to go through 9 different roofing companies just to get 2 of them to actually show up and this was the only company that actually followed through with me, fought my insurance company and got me a full roof replacement. They didn't waste my time like the other companies did. They were reliable, on time, did what they said they would do and kept me informed the entire way through. I love the job they did, it looks great, it was a very reasonable price, it was done in a timely fashion and they respected my property and kept it clean. All the workers were nice and behaved professionally. In this day and age when you can't get companies to act professionally or even show up, this one excelled! I cannot recommend them highly enough! read more
