If you want YOUR decision to count DO NOT go here!…read more I was referred to Dr. Tynan for breast cancer. Upon first consult she gave us options and explained them in detail, we felt confident and comfortable with her bedside manner, abilities and trusted her expertise. The day of surgery we continued to feel confident in the surgical plan agreed upon. During my first post-op visit Dr. Tynan was a different person. I questioned her on why she performed the surgery in a manner not agreed upon and was unhappy with the outcome. She refused to answer my questions, made me feel incompetent, and not worth her time. Dr. Tynan continued to push me towards a full mastectomy although the oncologist didn't feel it was medically necessary after the initial surgery. I left the office in tears and no longer willing to trust doctors. When I called the plastic surgeon who performed the surgery with Dr. Tynan regarding incision concerns he stated he didn't want to see me for the surgical breast he didn't perform surgery on. I had an incision reopening and was informed prior to surgery his office would conduct all post-op care. Apparently he didn't agree with her methods as well but would not put my needs into account. I immediately transferred my care to the Anschutz Medical Campus where doctors were shocked with the care I received from RMCC and the way the surgery was performed. They also agreed a mastectomy was not necessary based on my history. I feel Dr. Tynan and her referred plastic surgeon knew they made a mistake and were pushing towards an unnecessary procedure to make them feel they could correct the choices they made against the plan decided during the initial surgery. I am so glad I did not follow their advice!! Dr. Tynan goes against the patient's plan and once she performs surgery she no longer cares about the patient!

One visit, I waited over an hour and was late to an important event. The most negative experience I had was with my treatment I decided on after trying another medication two different times and not being able to tolerate it. I had one treatment and the office did not file the insurance correctly. In the span of six weeks, they were not able to figure out what they had done wrong. They never called my insurance company to find out how to rectify the situation (I confirmed). Luckily, I worked with the insurance to get them to do a one-time appeal. I missed my second and third treatment because of their negligence. The office manager is dishonest and flippant. I finally decided to leave the office, and two separate oncology offices were able to give me more information about my insurance and treatment in 1-2 phone calls that this office was ever able to give me. I have since left the office. My advice is to know everything about your treatment and insurance because this office will not take care of it. Also, if you wait in the room for more than 30 minutes, leave and demand back your copay. What a waste of two years at this place.

I do not have one complaint about this office. It's on the 4th floor of a nice building on the Rose campus and has plenty of parking: garage, lot, and valet. I've done all three without incident, but would not recommend the garage if you drive a large truck (think F250 extended cab). Everyone here is friendly and competent. The nurses who take your blood never have a hard time and require repeat stabbings. They have a great staff of genetic counselors to help you map out any family health issues. Finally, the doctors are excellent. My oncologist is my homeboy. I owe my life to him--literally.

Dr. Mardones is one of the reasons that I carry hope in my heart and she always encourages me to continue to live life with ferocious vivacity. From a clinical perspective, Dr. Mardones has provided me with various options for treatment, explaining the pros and cons of each option, and why she chooses a specific option for my treatment plan. She is extremely thorough (and a genius, I might add) in her explanations and when I need the layman's terms of certain terminology, she never makes me feel like I am less intelligent. I have never felt rushed into making a decision or that she doesn't have enough time to make sure I understand everything fully. That is a rare gem in this current age of "15 minutes or less with the patient" world we are currently living in. Dr. Mardones has also taken the time to know me as a person, not just a cancer patient. She knows my husband's name as well as my dogs and asks about them often. Who does that anymore? Her kindness makes this journey less scary for me. Dr. Mardones also has an amazing staff supporting her. From her NP's like Beth, nurses like Madi to the infusion staff to scheduling (shout out to Vanessa!), I have felt very informed on side effects and expectations for after care, scheduling appointments in an extremely timely manner and understanding the purposes and effects of my scans. In particular, JoDee and Shana in the infusion center have set the standard for professionalism as well as what I like to call "personalism". Again, I don't feel like just another cancer patient to them. They not only take the upmost care in their safety protocols and making sure I know exactly what is going in my body and why, but they also know me as a person. Their smiles and hugs make each visit just a bit easier and less daunting. And I am just one of their patients. They are the exact same with each of their patients. I feel very lucky to have found this practice and appreciate everyone there. Thank you Dr. Mardones for being the very best oncologist and creating the most amazing practice!

FIRST OFF, DO NOT GO TO ST. ANTHONY'S SUMMIT MEDICAL CENTER!!!!!! I would rather sit in pain for 3…read morehours down the mountain to Denver than go here ever again. You pay a ridiculous amount of money for them to do essentially nothing!!!!! I went to St. Anthony's Summit Medical Center in Frisco, Colorado on June 4th, 2022 due to a foreign object lodged in my eye. I tried my very best at home to get it out but it wasn't working so we made the decision to head to the ER in Frisco, Colorado. That was the start of a VERY BIG mistake. We arrived very late, around 1:30 or 2 in the morning, and had to wait for awhile. I wasn't worried about it thats fairly normal for an ER! Once I was admitted, I was greeted by a very stressed ER doctor. She had said that she was the only doctor there and had told me she would be right with me. 30 minutes later she is back and essentially asks the questions needed to know that I have something in my eye. She then proceeds to use a q tip to try and get the foreign object out of my eye with no luck. So then, surprisingly she asks my boyfriend to take the object out of my eye which he manages to do. So, we went to the ER to have my boyfriend take it out of my eye, what a waste of time! Again, no ones fault though that he managed to get it out after we drove and visited there. I was prepared to pay my bill for the eye drops she gave me and my visit there. Wellll........., get ready to sell your left kidney if you want to get any type of medical care here. I received a bill in the mail for a total of $3,837.09 for the 30 minutes I spent waiting after being admitted and for my boyfriend to take it out of my eye. I essentially paid $3,837.09 for eye drops. They charged me at a Level III ER charge, after doing some research is what is known as a "moderate severity & moderately complex case". Also did research on averages for level III charges and not ONE I LOOKED AT WAS ABOVE $2,500. They charged me $3,097.33 to have my BOYFRIEND end up taking it out of my eye. And on top of it charged me another $457.54 for a specific "Removal eye slit" procedure. One she didn't even do. So I disputed multiple times just for the $457.54 charge because they did NOT perform the procedure and received the same BS every time. I even had proof with a picture of the foreign object on my boyfriend's finger in the ER room which I sent over multiple times. Eventually a cute handwritten letter came addressed to me stating that because I stepped foot into an ER they had the right to charge me for a procedure that the licensed professional did NOT DO. I will attach some of the wordage in the letter below. Overall, lesson is do not go to the hospital here, you will not receive the care that the prices reflect. All I am saying is, if you are going to charge me an absurd amount at least do the job your charging me for. What a waste of time and money. Good riddance.
