This center has some of the best teachers, they make your kids feel so welcomed. Another thing i love about this center is how active they are in their community; they are always keeping parents informed on monthly menus, newsletters, and calendars. They plan alot of group events and dress up days, that make things so much more fun for the kids. I could go on and on but seriously i love this center.

As a 100% disabled U.S. veteran, and with my father also being a 100% disabled Vietnam veteran, we rely on our registered service animals for support, especially in public settings. There are designated areas for disabled individuals at the venue and she was standing in a handicapped viewing area. When we asked Master Lis to make room for us and our service animals in this space, she not only questioned the legitimacy of our dogs but responded with a dismissive attitude. Her eye-rolling and smirking made it clear that she felt justified in her disrespect toward us. It's important to understand that both my father and I suffer from PTSD, a condition that stems from experiences most people cannot imagine. Our service animals are essential for providing the comfort and stability we need to be in public, and they allowed us to be present at this event to support my young daughter in her competition. It is deeply disappointing to witness such behavior from someone in a leadership position. This lack of tolerance and empathy for those with disabilities, especially coming from someone who is supposed to exemplify the excellence of Taekwondo is shocking and concerning. This "master" has direct interaction with children, and knowing what we experienced, how can someone believe that she is instilling positive values in those she trains, especially our youth. We would like to remind you of the values your own website promotes: "No matter where you go in life, respect will always take you higher. Watch your child learn respect for themselves, parents, and their friends." To increase your awareness: "Texas law and the federal Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) guarantee the right of a person who is blind or has other disabilities, including post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), to be accompanied by a trained service animal in all public places."

She was able to drop in on the kids' class and was able to get a private lesson. The instructor and staff were welcoming and they were all awesome with my kid. Instructor was really trying to help her understand some of the fundamentals she lacked which I'm thankful for. Whole heartedly recommend this place. Equipment rental was free. You can find the schedule online. Prices were super reasonable. Our first class was only $10! Private lesson was also a great deal compared to LA so major bonus.

At both locations, we were not greeted and were given little to no explanation of what the class would involve. Everything felt vague and unorganized, which made it difficult to know what to expect or how to participate as beginners. At the Houston location, the gym space is split between kids' classes and adult classes at the same time. The kids were extremely loud, making it very difficult to hear the adult instructor. While we did receive slightly more instruction there than at the Pearland location, we later found out there was miscommunication about adult classes--Pearland primarily hosts children's classes, and the only consistent adult classes are at the Bellaire location. As new fencers, it was overwhelming being dropped into classes with experienced fencers without any structured onboarding. A beginner-focused program--such as a 6- or 8-week introductory course--would make a huge difference in helping new students feel confident and supported. During our class in Bellaire, the coach also disappeared at one point while we were fencing with others, without any explanation. We had no idea where he went or what we were supposed to do, and ultimately left out of frustration. Overall, this company could greatly improve by having clearer communication, better organization, and more structured programs for beginners. With some improvements, this could be a great place to learn, but in its current state it's been a very frustrating experience.

Children get individualized care and attention but are also encouraged to be a part of the larger group. It is truly remarkable how the children learn together and encourage one another. This is a reflection of the leadership and instruction they get on a daily basis. Our daughter is thriving and we couldn't be more grateful. Things I appreciate (not in a particular order) Accommodating to my schedule.. virtual on-line sessions make it easier for us to schedule regardless of where I am- at home or abroad. Accountability partner.. having regular sessions with James helps me stay focused on getting enough weekly exercise and on continuing to work toward my goals. Guidance on form and encouragement throughout the sessions.. this helps with motivation to push a bit and minimizes chances of injury. I also enjoy the variance in my routines (every time is different), the functional approach and use of compound movements. James is able to work with whatever equipment you have and make recommendations for additional equipment if you want. I recommend James if you're looking for a change!

White Tiger Taekwondo has become so much more than just a martial arts school for Maverick and me…read more Being able to do Taekwondo alongside my son is something I truly treasure. There's something special about being able to learn, train, struggle, improve, and celebrate our accomplishments together. Watching Maverick grow in confidence, discipline, and determination has been incredibly meaningful to me as a dad. At the same time, I get to be right there beside him, learning and growing myself. These are moments and memories that I know I'll look back on years from now and be grateful we had the opportunity to share. The instructors at White Tiger are incredible.
