The mushroom vendors are a foragers dream, and had the largest shrooms I've ever seen. The vendors are friendly and most seem eager for you to sample or purchase their goods. I had a great time "window shopping" and taking pictures. It's particularly nice to stroll through on a warm, sunny day.

One of my favorite vendors is the man with the soup. He also offered other things like lasagna, risotto, quiche... but my God! His tomato soup is out of this world. Topped with some pumpkin seeds and complimentary bread, it's the perfect lunch. Also, his partner makes amazing veggie quinoa burgers that are just perfection and so juicy and satisfying- even for a meat eater! Seriously one of the best things I have ever put into my mouth. The French bakery vendor with a super sweet bouncy blonde lady is also a superb standout. Try the colossal almond croissants. At about 50kc ($2), they aren't cheap but OMG they are amazing. Lightly filled with some sort of sweet almond butter paste. If it's available, be sure to try some pumpkin seed oil! It's a super savory oil that is delicious with bread or on dark green salads. You can easily get here by taking the A line to Jiriho z Podebrad. If you're just visiting, I highly recommend you stop here for lunch. It's a great way to experience the real side of Prague, mingle with locals, and try so many delicious foods and drinks at unbearable prices.

An hour later, it was mobbed. So if you're planning to visit, GET HERE EARLY! All sorts of vendors including two coffee tents, vegetables, meats, fresh eggs, three different bakers, wines, tableware, crockery, silverware, sausage, stews being cooked and lots of people shopping for all of it. We bought some olive oil, some lavender aromatherapy oils and lattes to drink while walking. This market is located near Palacký Square, along the riverbank. I am so glad we came by! The vendors mostly feature produce (fruits and vegetables), a honey vendor, a cured meat and spices stand, a couple baked goods spots, a vintage/local handicrafts shop, a few souvenir stands. I came in the morning around 8am on a weekday and many of the stands were just setting up. Honestly the majority of Prague seems to buy their groceries at supermarkets so while this format is great in continuity of a tradition, though I'm not sure if it can sustain in its current form over the long run. Hours are January to December: Mon-Sat 7:00am to 7:00pm Sun 8:00am to 6:30pm

What I love about markets in Dejvice the most is the intimate and family atmosphere - mostly the local citiziens of Dejvice meet here and make the atmosphere so nice. There is hardly someone in a hurry, queues are calm.. or it just has seemed like that. Concerning the market stands - they are pretty similar to ones located in other markets in Prague. And in my opinion it is pretty good news because you can be sure you can buy what you need. Little difference from the other markets is that there are more stands with prepared food - hamburgers, sandwiches, sausages, soups etc. compared to others. So if you are looking for shopping joined with kindo brunch, you should definitely go there! I definitely love flower stands - I really appreciate you can combine wild flowers with roses, etc. My boyfriend really loves the asian sandwiches which are so delicious! Anyway there are so many other stands which I omitted and I am really sorry for that. Markets in Kulaťák are the best way how to start your weekend!.
