Similar to a lot of other reviews we made a reservation for a truck in March - all was fine - we are forced to agree to terms and conditions in order to make reservation, Etc. "Someone will contact you prior to confirm your equipment and pick up location" - Well guess what the day before we are supposed to pick up the truck for a cross country move - they confirm the only equipment they have is over 2 hours away but don't worry because they'll comp a day of the reservation and won't charge us for the additional miles we HAVE to drive to pick up this truck. No mention of gas, or other compensation. When called to ask about this the customer service rep responds with well you did agree to the terms and conditions. Basically they can over promise and undeliver and you can't do anything about it. Also about 5 days before we were supposed to pick up the truck they texted under the reservation number asking if we'd be willing to tow a loaded trailer behind our truck for a portion of the trip (PU and DEL location out of route), loaded with not our property and they'd be willing to deduct $500 from our trip. Just feels super shady to have a company ask random people to tow other people's property. Would recommend never using U-Haul no matter how much cheaper they appear to be. read more

Two weeks ago we reserved a truck no problem, and now, two days before we are supposed to leave, we get a call saying they no longer have a truck available on the day we reserved and we will have to drive to crookston tomorrow to get one. What's the point of reserving a truck if you can't get one conveniently and when you specified? Additionally, we were unable to reserve a tow dolly for a vehicle which makes a multi-state move even more challenging. We were instead told to show up the day of and see if one is available. The only reason I am not giving one star is because we don't have to pay for the extra day and the mileage overage fee was waived for the inconvenience. read more

Please explain why we take the time to reserve a trailer and two days before we need it they inform us it's not available. Our option was to drive 45 minutes away and rent in another town. I understand this happens routinely at this location. You would think that the leadership of uhaul would wake up to this total lack of customer accommodation and realize that they are losing business. I'll try someone else next time. Penske trucks are cheaper anyway. read more
