Though highly recommended, I want to make sure that my teenage daughter will get the haircut she wants, preparing for her university interviews the next day. We were told also that one of the hairstylists can speak English but because this is an important interview that will change her future, my daughter and want to make a good impression on the interviewers from Ivy Leagues schools in America, we showed them the hairstyle she wants. In all hairsalons I've been to such as Frank Provost (a French hairstylist), it took this hairstylist in La Coifferie 15 minutes to finish my daughter's hair all up including her fringe. She cut her fringe in one go leaving no room in case it will be shorter to fix. My daughter's fringe in the end instead of styling as in the photos showed to them, end up not only uneven but cut straight in one go and very short. My daughter was so upset and in tears and all I can do is pay the salon for a terrible job charigng me CHF 74.40. I left and came back a few minutes later and told the owner of the salon what they have done to my daughter's hair. The hairstylist claimed that my daughter asked for it so I showed the owner to tell me if the photos I showed her resemble the hairstyle my daughter wants? I would have not complain if they have done the job properly but the owner asked me for evidence. I was so humiliated and fuming as if I would complain for nothing so I went back to the apartment we rented and beg my daughter to let me take the photos as the owner does not believe that one of her hairstylists did ruin my daughter's hair. My daughter was even upset of the insinuation that they have done a great job and my daughter asked for it. I made some photos despite my daughter was so upset locking herself in the apartment we rented and came back and showed the owner. My god I am even more insulted when she wants to return the money as if that will solve the problem but I can see that they have some customers and she wants only to avoid embarassment and that is not what I am after and when I said I don't want the money I want you to see what your hairstylists have done to my daughter's hair. Because there are other clients in the salon, she just keep on saying to ask my daughter back to fix it but how when the fringe was cut in one go leaving no room to check if the length can still be fixed? The owner keep on saying what can I do instead of apologizing she led my out of the salon after I told her you can do nothing because your hairstylist cut it too short. Until I left the salon, she did not even apologize for ruining my daughter's hair and for that price paid, it isn't worth it. A barber can do a better job than the hairstylist my daughter was provided. The owner claimed that the one who spoke to us was fully booked and could not do the job. If she can't do it, she could have informed my daughter and we can go back instead. The hairstylist just cut the hair without glancing on the photo provided just in such a hurry to finish the customer and go. Until I left the Salon no apology was offered and the owner was also in such a hurry to usher me out of the door not to get embarass with other customers. Is this the kind of hairsalon you want to go? Hair is very important to a girl, presentation how you look which is why we go to an expert to fix our hair. I could have done that snip and cut in one go for free had I knew that this salon would ruin my daughter's hair. She cried all night because of this and did not want to go to her university interview at all. I spent thousands of dollar to travel to Switzerland because the interviewers were located here and knowing my daughter's French hairstylist I had a high opinion that they would do the job well and also this salon was highly recommended so I trusted them. If you want me to rate this La Coifferie Salon out of "5" I would give them "0" - for the pain they have caused my daughter. I would probably suggest to anyone who wants to get a nice haircut to check first if they have a good review and if they have no reviews at all, then there is something wrong with that. It took my daughter a couple of months to grow her fringe to the length she wants and it took this hairstylist just a minute to snip/cut it in one go. You should be ashamed of yourself not only because you ruin my daughter's hair but for not apologizing....I would say the same with this owner keep on saying what can I do - do I need to spell it out loud as the owner/manager you need to learn that you have to take responsibility for your staff's screw up job. Try apologizing that your customer could calm down instead of hurrying up to get rid of them.
