My husband and I eloped and wanted to do a simple wedding photo shoot. I was lucky enough to find Abby on yelp and after checking out her website I knew she could take incredible outdoor photos, which was perfect for our shoot at Garden of the Gods. She answered my emails right away and I could tell she was enthusiastic about being our photographer. She made the entire process simple and enjoyable. She was quick to respond, offered extremely fair pricing, and was open to ideas and requests. We loved Abby as soon as we met her, she has great energy and was fun to hang out with. She had creative ideas for backgrounds and poses and the photos turned out better than I ever imagined. She was really fast at getting our pictures back to us too. The day of she had a handful of quick edits that she sent via text and in less than a week I had my full gallery, which I can easily access from her website. I wanted to do a family photo session (including our dog Luna) in Garden of the Gods, and it not only was a special and pleasant experience, the photos look amazing! She captured the grand but natural aesthetic that I wanted - I love the photos. She guided me throughout the entire process: provided me with samples in the location; picked out a uniquely perfect spot for the session; prompted us to take natural poses/smiles (we were all really enjoying the session so this was easy); and she was very accommodating to my requests, as I needed to have professional headshots done as well and ready by a certain deadline. Worst photographer ever. We hired him for our wedding and the pictures were awful (I looked good :)…read more). The pictures were out of focus and had no sense of professionalism, whatsoever. Worst of all, when the issue was brought to his attention he was insulting and rude and blamed the bad photographs on the family. He stated that we did not pay for professional photos and the pictures were more "snap shots" than professional photographs. So, you pay a ridiculous amount of money for snapshots that anyone can do with a disposable camera.

Melissa is INCREDIBLE! She is insanely good at what she does. She took our maternity photos as well…read moreas our newborn photos. We are complimented on them all the time and she was able to capture such precious moments for us to have for life. She was so amazing with our son and knew exactly how to keep him comfortable and was able to pose him so well. She had a ton of props and wraps for the newborn session and was very accommodating and knowledgeable with how to photograph with our son being on oxygen. She was also able to photoshop a giant gash on my husband's face out of the photos that he had gotten 20 minutes before the session. I messaged on here and quickly had an appointment to come see the venue! We walked in and my husband said, "I think this is the place it just is so fitting for us." We did a walk through and fell in love with the venue, location and the fact that we had pretty much free rein over what details we wanted. We booked the venue for December 2018! We picked out a caterer, Baker, one of their preferred DJs, we did our our cocktail hour, one of their preferred bartenders, and Uriah as our photographer! The day of was so perfect for me. I picked out decor, table setting stuff, and all of that extra stuff and the people decorating just really made it look more beautiful than I had ever imagined. It was perfect. Even with a few hiccups, the crew just went with it and made it such a beautiful day. I so highly recommend this venue! Especially so you can have that personal touch on everything!
