Knowledgeable relative living in Lake Placid -- where TWQ is headquartered -- strongly recommended skipping TWQ. Accounts of substandard workmanship, overcharging; credibility issues involving company landscaping sales rep Scott, allegedly fired from his previous employer, Robbins Nursery. Did homework: Checked business review sites. Checked consumer review sites. Checked with the state. Determined recommendation had merit. Decided not to go with TWQ. Planned renovations on our Sun 'n Lake residence included a brick or paver stone back patio. Among the estimates collected for the job was one from TWQ LLC. We stumbled upon a BBB review written by "Megan M." The review detailed "repeated excuses, false promises, and delayed payments" from TWQ LLC resulting in an "unprofessional, dishonest, and financially damaging" customer experience following TWQ LLC work on a well water treatment system. The review caught our attention and triggered a further look into TWQ LLC. Along the way, we pulled our photo copied from the TWQ LLC Facebook Gallery of a surface material we saw and liked on a customer's driveway. We then looked up the driveway's owner for comment. Snowballing costs and multiple construction defects were among the documented examples commented. In addition, TWQ LLC walked away without finishing. Finally, it was noted TWQ LLC claimed in the copied photo's caption it also did French drains on the property. And that statement to the public proved outright fraudulent: the house's general contractor was the one behind the drains - not TWQ LLC. Needless to say, thank goodness due diligence was exercised investigating TWQ LLC beforehand. read more
