You'd be better off driving to St. Mary in Annapolis-or closer to a a Mass in Bowie (St. Pius, Sacred Heart-in the Archdiocese of Washington) at least you know for sure that it's valid. These are my issues: The priest uses improper vessels on the altar: a pyrex mixing bowl during the consecration and what looks like iced tea glasses to hold the Most Precious Blood? Seriously? How about the fact that nobody kneels in reverence during the holiest part of the Mass (when the priest is consecrating the bread and wine in the pyrex). The priest at the 5:30p Mass I attended was going back and forth from the old missal to the current Romal Missal--doing his own thing. These parishioners have no clue here and the formation is obviously null. The dress is way too casual, but hey, what do you expect. It really goes with the territory. Not coming back here but will pray for this parish and their priests. St. Elizabeth Ann Seton, pray for us and your parish in Crofton.

We were there for a Saturday mass (they have two, 4:30 and 6:30) and the mass was packed. I'd estimate about 800 worshippers. The interior of the church is very beautiful and done in a modern style. Has soaring ceilings and lots of stained glass. The mass itself was traditional. One thing that struck me as odd was that there were no acolytes, only the priest and a reader. Although there is plenty of parking, the sheer number of worshipers means that it's going to be difficult to leave the parking lot and get back out onto bestgate road. Music was good. Communion was carried out under both species.

I reached out to the church took them 3 days to get back with me. The preacher said one little prayer on the phone. No one offered to come and see him at the hospital. After I thought I had found a home church. I even told them he was in intensive care and serious condition. And no one cared.. My husband passed away. And I did not feel comfortable with getting this Pastor to do his services. After no one reached out to even check on us to see how things were going. I had to go to a different church and get a different Pastor to do my husband's funeral services. I was so lucky to have found a pastor that really cared. He didn't even know me. But he was more caring and considerate than this Pastor of Heritage community church. It's so sad after being there for 2 1/2 to 3 years. My heart is broken. It's so sad that no one has even reached out to me from my first talk with the pastor. He never reached back out to see how my husband was doing. Even though they knew he was in intensive care and getting worse. No one called to ask how I was either. Very inconsiderate and selfish people. I would give them no stars if I could. Oh, when you go there, they act all nice and wonderful and like they're a loving church. But when you need them and you're suffering and you're in pain. No one shows up. If I hadn't been a Christian for a long time. This would be the kind of thing that would make someone turn against the church forever and against God. But I know better because I know there's other pastors out there and other churches that are out there that really do care. But this one is about the Almighty buck I think. Sad and very disappointed.

In all my life, I have never attended Mass at a church where the parishioners were so cold, unfriendly and like a clique. The interior of the church is bare and cold and parishioners are old and cold. They only talk to the members of their "clique ". The pastor is too busy "glad handing" the next person coming out of church. There are no meaningful exchanges with him. I tried to be friendly, acknowledged that we had a friend in common, but the next time that I saw him, he was totally oblivious to me.
