Went here for lunch with my husband, but ordered breakfast. It was very good. I got the vegetable Benedict, half order with sweet potato fries, and had it on a fritata instead of an English muffin. First time at this more southerly sister location. I came to try the breakfast tacos. They were very good. The avocado crema squirted on top was rich and showed the creativity the two chicks bring to their food. The food here seems very "fresh" and made with care. Its a bit better than standard breakfast fare. The ambience is clean and the there is a good vibe as the staff seem happy and appreciated. The sourdough pancakes with bananas were tasty. Very mushy too, perhaps because the bananas were mixed into the batter and not placed on top. Overall, a really great breakfast place in Reno. read more

They have quite a bit of options on their menu from skillets, Benedicts, omelettes, and traditional American and even Mexican breakfast options. Not feeling breakfast...no problem, they also have salad and melts/sandwiches on their menu. From savory to sweet options, everyone's breakfast/brunch cravings will be satisfied here. They can get quite busy on the weekends, but parking is ample and the wait is usually never too long since the restaurant has plenty of seating. We were really excited to see a Two Chicks open up in the south end of Reno. We like the midtown location, but the parking is always a challenge. We so appreciate that Two Chicks offers vegan egg and vegan cheese options. It's pretty much the only place in Reno that offers that, so it is often our go to spot for breakfast as we try to eat vegan when we can. They also have some delicious vegan sourdough pancakes which I highly recommend. The south Reno location is pretty big and if you go early it's not too busy. The restrooms are shared with the hotel it's attached to, so you have to walk through the hotel lobby to get to them. The quality of food has always been good here. They have messed up our order a few times but I think they've gotten it correct more than they've gotten it wrong. The portion sizes are reasonable, they are definitely not the biggest but it's probably an appropriate size. I usually get the eggs benedict and I can't say that I necessarily feel full after eating it, but again probably not a bad thing. This is a great spot for all size groups and I would recommend stopping in! read more

We have regularly visited the midtown location but knowing we'd be coming in with a group of 8 to celebrate some birthdays, we decided to give this bigger location a try instead. First off, parking is SO easy here and they took a reservation! That alone is hard to find in a breakfast place, so it was much appreciated. We were seated promptly and had great attentive service throughout the meal, as we've come to expect from Two Chicks. We had no idea about this, but they also have these carseat hammock things, so your baby can "sit" at table height with you -- our waitress offered one and we were so thankful! Wish there was a zero star option. We had team bonding here and the girls ordered poppy seed French toast. The girls said it tasted sour so we asked the waitress if she would allow us to swap for something else. She had the manager come speak to us and said the waitress said she was concerned about our 12-13 year olds ordering for themselves when a mom was in the table right next to them. Two chicks is a great local business. I've never disappointed when I eat here with friends or family. We made reservations for six and it was the easiest reservation system I have ever used. You actually talk to a live person who is personable, friendly, I'm more than willing to take down your information. Food here never disappoints. I had a Almond Poppyseed French toast with blueberry compote, two eggs over easy and sausage. Cooked to perfection, and more than I could eat so I took two pieces of French toast home for breakfast the next day. Others in my party enjoyed a vegan omelette, which she said was delicious; Eggs Benedict and judging by their empty plates, it must've been wonderful as well; a Caprese Melt and Red Chick Scramble finished our dining delights. Service here is always friendly, helpful, and available when you need it. We did have the vegan omelette remade because it came non-vegan by mistake , but our server was quick to correct it and apologize more than once for the error and the thing was, she actually sounded sincere and her apology, which was much appreciated. I like the many options they have. I really liked my recent order, which was the 1/2 Griddle Combo. I don't like to eat large portions of food at once, so I was thrilled with the option to have a smaller portion size at a reasonable price. This lovely establishment is located in a newly renovated best western hotel. The hotel is nice and clean and this restaurant is in front of it. I was quite astonished to see the great reviews of this restaurant considering it's part of a hotel which I'm not sure is the best option for dining. But my friends and I were visiting Reno and we really wanted a good place. We wanted a good experience. We talked to our Reno friends in this place as well known well establish and well respected and is one of two locations in town. Why did I decide on this place not only for its great reputation, but I had a desire to have hashbrowns, which I just adore. They offer a lot of options, but I went for the two eggs over easy and opted for the patty sausage which was incredible and I have never had such a good patty sausage I can see what people go a bit wild for this place. The crowd gets going really early at 8:30 AM so forewarned because there is often a line outside after that so come early and it opens at 6 AM so I really, recommend making reservations getting there early. There is a bar next-door where you can wait outside in case you do wait. The weight was not long for me only 15 minutes and the receptionist was very kind and also very accurate which I really appreciate. On top of that, even though my party had gone to the other store not because of me but because they weren't listening to my directions. They sat me without my other two people in my party being there and I let them know they were on their way and they said that was no problem. The quality, the price point. The service cannot be our waitress was absolutely lovely and had, extensive experience with the menu and was happy to recommend our items. I highly recommend this place for the comfort. Sooo, we broke tradition this year and went to the South location for my birthday. It's an annual thing, my bestie comes up for NYE and my birthday, we go to Two Chicks for my birthday brunch and she gets the biscuits and gravy. She's a southerner and says the gravy is one of her all time favorites. So the new South location doesn't have the same feel as the midtown spot, it's bigger and can handle sooo many more diners! This is exciting, the wait was always worth it but now you don't have to wait as long. AND you still get the same amazing food, service and overall experience. The biscuits and gravy is my bestie's all time favorite rendition, and she's from the south. This time the gravy had some spice to it, so it was a tad different and still as yummy as ever. I had a sandwich this visit because I couldn't decide on breakfast. It was so good, the bread toasted, melted Swiss and kraut over corned beef...and I get it with 1000 island on the side because I LOVE mustard on mine. Garlic fries are the only way to go here. So so perfect on the side, garlicky and crispy goodness. This year they brought me a birthday pancake. Now I knew what I'm having on my next trip without question. The sourdough pancakes are amazing. I'll be having these on our next trip 100000%. Also, try the drinks because they do a smashing good job. The Nutty Irishman is a favorite and they do it justice. Their Bloody Mary's are awesome. I love the kimchi Bloody Mary on a warm (or any) day. It's spicy and tangy with a good amount of vodka! A must try for anyone who likes spice. Bottom line, yes, the South location is a go-to. Two chicks is one of my favorite breakfast/brunch spots in Reno! This is the first time I have been to the one in south Reno and I was impressed with how nice it looks in there! Our server, Nicole, was really nice and and very helpful. I really like the melts they have. My go to has always been the pepper popper and my wife likes the ultimelt, but you can't go wrong with any of them. If you are in the mood for a cocktail they have a pretty solid drink menu as well. Eggs were OK, but adding salt was necessary. Breakfast burrito flavorless other than the sausage, of which there was way too much. Almond poppyseed French toast also basically flavorless. Four thick slices of bread, so the portion size was adequate. Sadly there were soggy areas of the bread. The blueberry compote saved the dish by adding good blueberry flavor; I only wish there had been enough compote for all the slices. The bacon had delicious flavor; however, I asked for VERY CRISPY bacon and got the still-white-fat floppy version. Now I've tried it and don't have to be curious anymore. I came here late morning and was greeted by the hostess within about 10 minutes. There were groups of people waiting and the hostess informed me it was about a 30 minute wait, but we were able to snag seats at the bar. It was great to skip the wait! I had the yellow chick skillet with an over easy egg. The potatoes and the egg were cooked perfectly! The spread they served with the toast was delicious! Went here during Memorial Day weekend and it was great. I had the banana and peanut butter stuffed French toast, and my wife ordered the grain free sweet potato pancakes. Service was great and the location is perfect. Parking was easy. The French toast was crispy on the outside and gooey in the middle. My wife's pancakes were a little softer and moist, but I guess that is to be expected with grain free. We will definitely be back to try the other items on the menu. read more

I didn't realize this until we got home and I warmed up his omelet for breakfast the next day. It was covered with a layer of fresh garlic. Hey, I love garlic but never in my omelettes. Also fresh garlic???? It was not listed as an ingredient on the menu either. So my guess is the cook accidentally added garlic to the wrong order and they didn't care to redo the omelet. Disappointed. Also the table next to us had a huge hair in their meal. We had a great bartender but no name tags so I can't tell you her name. I am in love with the sourdough pancakes (I really never eat pancakes!) they have a marvelous tang and the butter just makes them amazing. I don't know another location serving sourdough pancakes in Reno. Full servings can easily be split if you're not a big eater. The Poutine might be great over their Parmesan hash browns (?) they're good more like a breakfast skillet, not over the top great. Just went to Two Chicks to meet up with old friends. We tried the Cup Café first but the wait was lame, they're super low staffed, and the menu wasn't impressive. I always have a hankering for the veggie fritters at Two Chicks so that was a plus to be able to order those. I decided on the Farmhouse omelet which came with a white creamy cheese, asparagus, and red onion topped with pesto. What a tasty breakfast.
