Twistyman counting down so the birthday boy could spray down his buddies! :)

Thank You, Twistyman, for an unforgettable 6th birthday celebration for my son! It started with just a few classmates, but quickly turned into a park party for almost 30 kids. Yikes! Luckily, you were extremely flexible and accommodating in keeping the kids smiling and laughing the entire time! Even the adults were thoroughly entertained and wanting more of the cool balloon animals, swords, flower crowns and hats for themselves! :) Thank you for being so punctual and staying in the awesome pirate character throughout the show! It was a perfect match for our Jake the Pirate theme AND my own personal infatuation with Jack Sparrow! :) We loved every minute of it! If only we could give you 100 stars for your amazing performance! ***************************************************************** :) Would you consider performing at a school? I have lots of parents and teachers asking.... :) (And, very sorry that this review is about 7 months overdue. Oops!)

Twistyman at my daughter's birthday party

I saw Twistyman at a friend's daughter's 5th birthday and hired him for my daughter's 3rd birthday which he came all the way out to Fairfax, CA to do. He's like a Pixar movie - fun for kids and funny for adults. He's got tons of energy. Another reviewer called him calm. I wouldn't quite use that term. I don't know if you can be "calm" and entertain 15 small kids. When I saw him at my friend's birthday he was at his 5th event of the day and still seemed like a whirling dervish. Amazing. His music had small people dancing and even some oldies but goodies had the adults singing. His balloon creations are amazing. Balloon art. No simple doggies from Twistyman. No ho ho. The doggie has to be on top of an easy-to-hold staff and be surrounded by a heart shape and maybe be holding a flower - you never know - but it's likely going be complex and lovely. As Mom, I also got my own beautiful crown - which of course I think I deserve. When I asked my daughter her favorite part of the birthday party - she said Twistyman (this party also included face painting and an overly stuffed piñata). No higher recommendation than that.

I am a recent client of Twistyman and found him through my mothers' group; several moms recommended him for birthday parties, so I thought, why not? As far as fees go, Twistyman's packages are pretty much just like every other kid party entertainers'. He has at least two different packages, and what makes him different from the others is that he actually recommends that you keep the number of kids small so that each child can have attention from him. I was surprised that none of the other entertainers I checked had such a strong recommendation/tip for parents. He's not high-end or low-end, so this is something to consider for your budget. Twistyman's style is very mellow and laidback; it's the kind of calm energy you'd expect, not hyped-up crazy-mofo clown energy (since he's not a performance clown). He makes great balloon figures and headgear for kids AND adults. I think the grownups in our party enjoyed their crazy hats as much as the kids did. And what's great about balloons is that they're great for infants to very young kids and adults -- big age span coverage for a party! Twistyman also carries a couple of musical instruments like a little flute to get kids' attention, and he also stays calm when his creations pop (this is actually important around young kids who can freak out over loud pops and get immediately scared). Twistyman also brings a little unobtrusive boombox to play updeat dance music, but if you don't like this, he is open to turning the music off. He seemed very responsive and calm, and for people who don't like crazy entertainers on steroids, this is a plus! He also performs outside in very warm weather, but he really needs shade. Recommended.

TWISTYMAN IS AWESOME, AND YOU SHOULD HIRE HIM FOR YOUR PARTY! I was just on Twistyman's website because I'm about to HIRE HIM AGAIN for my son's birthday party. We had so much fun last year, and he was so entertaining to the kids (age 3) and their parents. Every kid went home with a cool balloon creation (about 15 kids at the party). Some of the adults got a fun hat to wear, too. We hired the "DELUXE" Twistyman, but this year, my son is having a pirate theme pAAARty. (Get it? Pirates? Arrr?) Anyway, Twistyman has a little pirate promo movie, and he's awesome as SWEENY the Pirate, so we're excited to have him entertain us again. By the way, I tried to hire him for my son's 2nd birthday party, but he was booked (I think I tried about 3 weeks in advance?) For his 3rd birthday, I'm pretty sure I booked him about 5-6 weeks in advance. Dealing with Twistyman - booking, paying, communicating - was all super easy. He showed up on time, and actually stayed longer than his "booked" time, because he made an elaborate balloon creation and put a tattoo on each kid. Anyway, I was just looking through his website to see about hiring him again, and then I felt kinda bad about not putting in any good reviews for him on da interwebz. But here it is now! And what says more than YES! I WILL HIRE TWISTYMAN AGAIN!

"Up, up and away!" Twistyman isn't just a guy who makes balloons, he's a master of fun! I'm one of those folks who doesn't like the idea of hiring clowns for birthday parties. I'm not uppity, I just don't like... clowns. And balloonery? If my kids really, really wanted balloon animals at their party, I would figure out how to do it myself just so we could save the money! But let me tell you... We saw this fellow do his thing at a Virgin America launch party in Orlando, Florida. First off, he made an amazing balloon hat with a really huge airplane on top for Sir Richard Branson to wear. That was cool, but the minute he made a balloon bow and arrow for my son, and hit a guy in the back with it (why not? He was from JetBlue!), that was it. Every kid in the terminal surrounded him and besieged him with "Can you make that for me?!" Instead of being overwhelmed, or worse, being mean about it or ignoring them, he calmly, but quickly, turned out a balloon thingy for each kid there. When I found out that this guy is based in the Bay Area, I thought, we gotta hire him! Fortunately, I have small children otherwise I'd feel weird having him at my own birthday party. But he does parties for adults, too, so maybe?! And, I just read here that another Yelper hired him for her wedding. See? He does it all! I was worried that because he is so GOOD at what he does, he would be incredibly expensive. Not the case! When he was available for my little guy's birthday party, I jumped to hire him. My youngest is into Toy Story and cowboys at the moment, so I asked Twistyman to come as a cowboy. And boy, was he! He actually showed up as a cowboy headed for a rave: glittery shirt, yellow shades, gold shoes. Fun! He spoke in a drawl, walked like he rode around on a horse. Never once did he break character. Even when I asked him what kind of car he drives. A friend said that his EYES stayed in character, too. (What?!) That's the best thing about Twistyman. He commits. All the silly jokes, all the goofy looks. You could totally feel bad for the performer who does the same stuff and isn't quite sure of himself. But Twistyman doesn't try too hard, that's just his personality. That was a big plus for us: he's not super-crazy, which could totally put off certain folks, and probably scare small kids. We really appreciated when he was serious and said a note of caution to parents of babies, making sure they knew it was a choking hazard for them. Twistyman cares! I'm Filipino; it's hard to have small parties when you're related to everybody, so we had a LOT of kids at the party. And yet, he made sure everyone who wanted a balloon had one. I was a little embarrassed when one of our friends asked for a second one because her son also wanted a bow and arrow set, after he already got his panda bear. Twistyman was so accommodating, even though he had to leave for his next booked party. BTW, I like that he uses biodegradable balloons and drives to his parties in a Prius. Twistyman loves you, and the Earth! Maybe you're a parent who's planning their child's party. Or maybe you're in charge of a corporate event and wondering how to fill the time between the band and the boring speeches. If you're reading this page and still not sure if you should hire Twistyman, think of it this way: You can do everything you can to make it the party of a lifetime, or you can send for Twistyman and he will make it happen for you! Thanks, Twistyman!

I hired Twistyman for my sons 6th Birthday party and was glad I did. We had a variety of ages and he was able to cater to them all. He was funny, did a little magic, helped sing happy birthday and made some amazing balloon animals. He was a great addition this special day!

It was a very hot day, and all the kids were originally seated facing the sun, before starting his show, he had the parents turn the children around so they wouldn't be staring into the sunlight. That spoke volumes about his experience. Boswick had so many tricks up his sleeve and kept the kids engaged and laughing throughout. The birthday girl (as is perfectly appropriate for her age!) wandered off midway through, but the older kids were totally captivated the entire time. When the balloon-making began, she came right back, a perfect ending to the performance. Even the adults were entertained! Boswick effortlessly switches between engaging 3-year-olds, 7-year-olds, and adults alike with his humor and charm. As a teacher, I really appreciated his ability to manage a crowd and keep everyone entertained. Other nearby parties had a jump house and a traveling petting zoo with a runaway turtle, but Boswick was by far the highlight of the park. Overall, we were impressed. I would recommend Boswick for any kids' event.

I would have hired her in a min and recommended her to everyone I know. The owner is incredibly diff to work with and is not very truthful, understanding or empathetic. Her website has 3 diff prices for services. Initially it said 249 and then under the services 299. I contacted the owner and she stated it was 299. I said I'm confused bc it stated it was 249 and then 299. She said that's an old price. I thought that's odd so I went to book Melody and the price changed yet again- now it's 339!!! In less than 15 mins the price went from 249- 339!!! The worst part about this experience is that she wasn't willing to honor the price SHE sent in a text and then doubled down by denying service altogether- when the issue was clearly an issue with her site. Rather then making I'm right- or even trying to right the wrong - her solution was to deny us the service- which is going to result in a special needs boy not getting the 1 thing he has asked for in a year or more. He's a very sweet boy that has had a hard life in just about every way. Melody made his worries, hospital visits, being bullied and just his hardships melt away. Quite honestly it was one of the few times I've seen him participate and smile at the mention of her name. Rather than apologize and try to resolve the issue she is going to deny a special needs boy his one ask. I'm so very sad and if she knew my kid at all- she would and should be ashamed that rather than making his bday the best it could be- she is showing that she lacks any empathy or understanding. I hope she reaches out and does the right thing!!!
