A nice way to travel from Vienna to Bratislava is by catamaran and returning by train. The ride is an easy to book, boat was clean and great table service in the captain's lounge. Good visibility of the river and surrounding areas. Negatives are disorganized crowd management to board, people pushing, definitely not suitable for elderly or handicapped passengers imo. This is a pleasant boat ride in the morning but turned into a nightmare last Friday night. It was packed and there is absolutely no control over liquor consumption. Every passenger was subject to drunk and abusive behavior for a group young men. They were screaming and singing and flinging themselves at innocent passengers on a return ride to Vienna. The staff hid behind the bar or upstairs in a roped off area. People should be warned that they will be on a boat and all common decency will be thrown overboard. The crude behavior included screaming swear words in the face of people, banging and barging in the bathrooms (who knows what they were doing in there) and running up the isles screaming and scaring everyone. We're stuck on a boat! You pay a lot for these tickets and there should be a level of safety involved. The noise level and body order of these animals was completely unacceptable. If you ever decide to try this, stick with morning hours only and reserve seats in the very very front. At least you'll have some space between the bar and bathrooms. Also, don't go on this boat alone. It is not safe. Everyone is owed and apology and refund. This is the kind of tourist nightmare that convinces people to stay away forever. This is an opportunity for Uber to take over and get a handle on the drunks who try to get a ride. Also, the bar might be a money making part of this but this is a terrible traumatic situation. People couldn't get a away fast enough. At the hands of these maniacal lunatics there were people crying as they tried to get away. One of the most traumatic events in recent memory. Twin City Liners misses the boat completely. This company was faulty on several accounts: 1.) Website information published was incorrect. We weren't able to find information to contact them, as we had issues and there wasn't any phone number to call. 2.) Boat location was not specifically provided. We arrived at the location printed on our online confirmation, which only took us to a closed office off the river, making us miss our ride. 3.) The customer service was awful. We weren't properly reimbursed for our missed connection, and only offered the ability to purchase another ticket for the next boat 4 hous later. 4.) We went for our trip on a Sunday. Apart from the unhelpfulness at the desk, their main offices /telephonic service are only open Monday through Friday. Save your money and take a train. Easier, faster, cheaper. Take your thrills elsewhere. read more

Do not book your tickets through this fraudulent company. Their website is set up to deceive you. When you book your tickets online, you are prompted to select your outbound journey and return journey and a price is shown (in my case it was 30 euros), but once you book your confirmation shows that you only booked your ticket one way and you are now required to spend another 30 euros to book your return ticket. The website does not make it clear that the price is 30 euros each way. I tried calling the company and asked if I can cancel my ticket because I never expected to pay 60 euros for short boat ride and was told to call a different number. When I called the different number that i was given, the same woman that I spoke to earlier picked up and pretended not to speak English. It is beyond ridiculous for a "reputable" business to behave this way. read more
