However, the seller didn't refund me for the original shipping label that I paid so I ended up being out $20 for shipping. Super frustrating as that wasn't clear and most places will refund you the original shipping if you pay for your own return shipping label. Buyer beware that this is the policy!

Purchased a Kenmore washer and dryer from an ad on Craigslist on May 15, 2019. Thought it was a…read morelegitimate purchase because it stated" come view at Advent Thrift." It also stated it had a "60 Day Warranty" and no where did it state repairs only NO REFUNDS. I am a single working mother with 2 sons who have blood diseases and after speaking with Al over the phone found a person to pay and have the set picked up. When the pickup person arrived he entered the store asked Mrs. Peters (Manager) for Al and she stated "right over there." The washer tub has numerous rust spots and clothes have been damaged. I called and spoke with Al and asked for a refund and he stated "no refunds only repairs" and I stated that was not stated in the ad and he agreed that it was not. He offered to come to my home and change out the tub and again I requested my $$ back and that the ad needed to be clear in reference to a "60 Day Warranty". He at which time stated "it was not a good time for him to speak and that he was hanging up." I called him back and asked again for a refund and he stated no again and claimed he almost ran into something talking on the phone with me. I told him I would not call again but rather have legal contact him. Next, I called and spoke with Elizabeth Peters (Manager) of Advent Thrift and explained to her my circumstances, she indicated that he was leasing space and that she had not seen the ad. She wanted to call him and offered to call me back. I received a return call from her and she stated "He offered to repair the tub so leave me out of it." I am competing paperwork and filing a small claims judgement against Al. To protest not having the terms honored is worth the $78 plus $20 to have a sheriff serve the judgement/paperwork. Always keep receipts and take a screenshot of ads...I am so glad I did!! On the receipt, he had another opportunity to write "no refunds only repairs"...but he did not. Advent Thrift need to require leaser's to have insurance and state clearly they are a separate entity. They may be liable also.

I purchased my unit Nov 28 and received it at the longer end of the 21 day processing time. I…read moreexpected that at the worst since my unit was customized. What I really appreciated about the owner (believe her name is Tamika Gibson) is she texted me asking me questions for my unit! That let me know, she cared to make sure my unit fit right. I'd never measured my head before just assumed I had a big ass head LOL. She was really nice about it (because I even questioned like why do I need to measure my head and the unit has bangs) and she walked me through how. Was really above and beyond of her. She could have had me out in these streets with a sliding wig! When I received the unit, I wasn't thrilled. I purchased a 70s inspired Curly 14' Bob with bangs. The curls are like big spiral curls.. Very Rick James'ish (LOL but cute. You get it). The curls were dry, and looked like the tracks put in the unit were of hair that had been used previously. they were that poofy and pulled out. The unit had a horrible smell to it. Like bleach and hot mold. I was really bummed out. I had to give the unit a warm and cold wash.. Conditioned the unit overnight.. TBH as soon as I wet the unit and started to treat it, the hair came to life! The curls are actually gorgeous!! And they snap right back after a wash. I didn't even need to comb the unit , as soon as I started washing the hair it automatically de tangled. So granted I didnt receive my unit in the best of conditions and had to do some work to it. The hair itself is really good quality hair and contrary to the Better Business reports on this business the owner was really kind and professional to me.
