Yikes is really the only word that comes into mind when I think about my experience here. Everything is way overpriced and what isn't overpriced is old, worn, and should probably be tossed. When you first walk in there is a locked case to the right of way overpriced Coach and other high brand purses. Walking further into the store will bring you to their checkout counter, and surrounding it just seems to be piles and heaps of merchandise on the floor that needs to be sorted through. It isn't very appealing. They do have a "boutique" section which is again surrounded by boxes and bins of random things. The store is not, in any way shape or form, handicap accessible. The shoe section is just a mess. Overpriced and a lot of the shoes have a tag stating that if you want to try both shoes on, to see an associate as they only put one shoe on the rack for theft reasons. If the prices were reasonable then I would totally be okay with stepping around a few boxes and digging for treasures. But sifting through used shoes that are $25 or more just isn't worth it. Ironically any shoes I found that were in nice condition and "on sale" that week were marked about twice as high as anything else. Not much of a savings. I won't be back. read more

This is actually a review for their other shop: Twice as Nice Home. The shop was clean, lots of fun stuff to browse. But in the end, I left empty handed. There were 4 associates present, only one said hello.. and this was a lady rearranging shelves at the front of the shop. As I worked my way toward the back of the shop, there were 3 individuals behind the counter that seemed quite full of themselves, and never once was it a thought of theirs to welcome me, say hello... nothing. I don't support such businesses. Did not even feel welcome. read more

I have been here a few times and everytime they were rude unfortunately. Not to me in particular but in general. Each time I've been there they've been very arrogant and almost come off like they see themselves as better than others. One time really stands out, some of the girls that work there and an older lady(I believe it was the owner) pointed out that one of them was wearing a shirt she bought there. The owner was telling all the girls that they should put on something from the store and post a picture to make it seem like " we would actually wear something from here". I shrugged it off hoping it was misunderstood. But then my children and I were standing at the counter to check out and the same older lady asked if I was going to be doing a lot of diys seeing I had a bought a few craft supplies. I told her the project I was working on and she gave me almost a disgusted look and said "I just buy things I want but I guess if people aren't capable of buying them they find a way to make it". This seems to be the all around energy that given off by some of the staff and owner. Ive gone back a few times hoping I would encounter a different atmosphere with no prevail. I try to be positive so hopefully they were just having a bad day each time I've been there. But if that's the case they should try their best to not make their customers feel bad despite how they may be feeling. You never know who might be offended and lose a loyal customer. Freeport is a beautiful, historic town that gets ignored a lot of the time. I'm the owner/writer of a successful diy based company and anonymous blog that showcases the hidden treasures of the community. Twice as nice has been here for so long that I had hoped it would be a perfect match for a new article in my blog as well as others that seemed interested in bringing it more attention. But the feelings it left me with I dont want to encourage others to go there and possibly be treated the same way. I'm hoping they acknowledge it and be more mindful because it could be a real gem in our little city! read more

Very Cluttered, used to have decent prices but are high now, I have seen the owners and managers shopping at Good Will with mountains of clothing/junk in their carts to re-sell at their store! I am very tired of bringing in good sell-able items which reduces their overhead and helps them make a great profit and they give an attitude like, "I am not sure I want your stuff". I mean, can't they say thank you for bringing this stuff in and we look forward to selling it for you? They are not thankful at all for your help in filling up there store. They do not seem to have any type of a rotation for merchandise, its just there for a very long time and they pile more and more stuff into the store. Then when the fire Marshall comes and tells them its over crowded, they get mad if you bring in more stuff, "like cant you read the sign, we are NOT taking anything today". Dont bring kids or mom in a wheel chair or walker. I shop there less and less... read more

I love Twice as Nice Home and have bought many nice things there. What I don't like is the curtness displayed by the clerk, or possible manager (?) Annie. She is always curt, like I said, to the point of unpleasantness. Once I stopped outside the store where she was standing. The store was closed, but I didn't know it, and she was rude about it. It seems when I shop there, she is doing me the favor of providing very limited service. When you ask what discount a certain color of tag is, she will rudely tell you that everything is on a sign and point to it. When you call as a courtesy to say that you will pick up your items on hold tomorrow, she will say, "hmmm, in the morning?," in a snide tone. I had been informed in the past by other pleasant clerks there that they would hold items for two days. The other clerk, with the pixie haircut, that usually works there, is very friendly, however. read more
