The salesperson walked over and stared at me/followed me…read morearound the store from the moment I walked in, glaring and scrutinizing as if expecting me to steal something. They probably thought I didn't notice. They ignored other (white) customers to continually glare at us. They were extremely nice to others, but rude and curt  to my partner and I, even though we made sure to be friendly. I was so excited to find an art supply store, as I love notebooks and was prepared to buy quite a few, but this left such a sour and disappointing taste in my mouth that I will never be back. It's heartbreaking that people still get away with acting like this.
