The things that stood out as unique here was the large selection of Pendleton made blankets and clothing with Native American patterns. There is almost an overwhelming amount of items here so it's good if you like browsing. The staff also knows a lot so if you have questions or are looking for a specific item you can ask away. You can also ask for a discount and haggle the prices if you think it's too much. My friend accidentally broke a Kachina doll that was already slightly broken, he felt bad and requested we come back right before our flight so he could pay for it. Staff was very kind and gave him a massive discount. He has it proudly displayed at his home now!

One of them was an older Japanese woman who said she was originally a buyer from Japan who came to New Mexico, fell in love with the place and the culture - and the magic of turquoise - and has been there ever since (I think she said over 40 years). Other customer she helped they ask questions same thing she said she really didn't know, but yet she didn't seek advice from any of the other workers. So if you're new to this stuff have questions and the sales person cannot answer them strongly suggest that you ask them to go get the information or get a different sales person. Other than that, I would recommend this business.

My husband and I came to New Mexico from Oklahoma for a mini 4th of July vacation and to hunt for some turquoise pieces. We only found two places worth going to and Turquoise World was one of them. First off, the owner Monty is just awesome! We went in, checked around and decided to check out more places, but went back the next day. He seemed happily surprised to see us and remembered the pendant and ring I had been looking at. Also, it just so happened that the artist was there! His name was Ray and both his son Adam and him are craftsmen. Both Monty and Ray talked to my husband and I for awhile. They were super helpful, answered all our questions and I ended up buying the ring, pendant and a bracelet. We had an absolutely lovely experience with them and I got some amazing pieces. I have no doubt we will continue to do business with Monty. Please visit this place, it is truly a hidden gem with AUH-MAZING prices. Don't waste your time in Santa Fe! read more

I could live in this store. The selection is large and authentic with pieces from many different local artisans. Bill and Monte were friendly and accommodating and knew the history and origin of many items. I left with so much stuff and was able to do all my Christmas shopping for a very reasonable price.
