Marathi Thai Special

It's very nearby to Schaumburg at an approachable distance. The food was good around average 3.5, I would say it could be better. It was average. They have many Bengali sweet dishes available. I did try two of them which was good. The food portions are also very limited. Additionally, I would say ambience is good with a lot of space and parking.

Butter Chicken, Garlic Naan

Food was warm and yummy, perfect for a cold night when you really have an itch to scratch for a hearty meal. Am I an expert on Indian cuisine? No, so I definitely went the basic route with the butter chicken and naan, and it was just what I was looking for! Service is okay, but everyone is very friendly. Only thing that slightly disappointed me was the portion sizes.

It had a good amount of searing inside. It does not close in the afternoon on weekends, which is good. Self-service order. sometimes, they do deliver it 2 u. Mango milkshake - 1/5 - too much sweet, no ice, and it was not chilled. Chaas - 2/5 - decent taste but not chilled. Misal apav - 2/5 - way too thin Gravy, hot oil is spicy, no sweet chutney Sabudana Vada - 3/5- Best food for our meal Kothambir vadi - 3/5 - Greasy Aloo paratha - 3/5

This restaurant serves regional Indian cuisine, especially from Maharashtra. Overall taste and flavors are pretty authentic. The place is clean and tidy, making for a pleasant dining experience. Overall service could be a bit better. We had missal pav, and puri bhaji shrikhand - both had perfect taste. Perfect for a casual meal or a taste of authentic Indian fare!

Food quality = ** Ambience = *** Value for money = * Service = ** I will not recommend this place to anyone.

Mango Mastani

We were 5 people, went on saturday for lunch from downtown Chicago to Schaumburg. This was my first time to be there but 2 of our friends has been there so we had heard good about the food there and the food was very delicious. 1. We had puran poli, aloo paratha, utpam, dosa, thalipith, kothimbir wadi, panipuri, shrikhand-puri-sabji (loved this so much that had it twice) - Yes, a lot food and everything was delicious. With thalipith and aalo paratha they gave curd and tasty achaar (pickle) 2. In dessert we had mango mastani and sitafal icecream 3. This place has self order like to stand in a line and order food and someone takes a note of it. They give buzzer/pager/beeper - When a customer pays for their food, they receive a pager that they can take to their table. The pager is a small, rectangle plastic device that lights up and vibrates when the food is ready.  4. The place was clean and seperate restrooms for men and women. 5. When we arrived, we wanted a big table and it wss not clean, the staff was not available but the lady (manager) went herself and cleaned it for us and did not ask us to wait or take other table. I liked this attitude of theirs. 6. Price is resonable. For 5 people the food I mentioned above was more than enough and $110-120 we got these all dishes 6. Why I am giving one point less is because I think they need to hire more staff. The person who takes in restaurant order also takes orders on phone. We ordered twice this and we had to wait for long to place the order, the second time as they were on phone. Food also came late when the restaurant was full. I feel they should hire more people. 7. The second reason is we went for Maharashtrian thali, all the way from downtown to Schaumburg. I specially wanted to eat that and this thali is available only on weekends and it was not there. They gave reason as they do not compromise on taste and the person who cooks is not available and travelling. I appreciate them being honest but I think again business should not be 1 person dependent and yes even so they should have given it on their website. I visited their website before planning this with friends. So, I was disappointed that I did not get to eat Maharashtrian thali but rest all was good. Next time I will call and ensure that they have maharashtrian thali before visiting them. I will defintely go there again and recommend their business because the food is very tasty. Also, they are hardworking and honest. Clean restaurant as well.

One word- Reminiscing! Being from Maharashtra and loving maharashtrian food since childhood this place gives you all the vibe. For me this was as if my aunt from back home is cooking for me. She knows how I like and here I am being fed. This is one heck of a place, newly opened in schaumburg and honestly never going back to other Indian restaurant to satisfy my mumbai food cravings. I ordered bunch of items Cheese Pav Bhaji - could take more cheese, overall was good 5/5 stars Kothambir wadi and malvani mixed veg - were my fav. 10/5 stars would go back just for these. They don't give free side of rice, so you would need to buy roti/rice to go with it Chicku milkshake was great. However I like it thick so may be they are just blending chicku with milk only, so probably 4.5/5 Gulab Jamun was tiny but was made to perfection 5/5. Lachaa paratha was good too! Overall I am extremely happy to visit them even when I was tired! I came out happy! :) The restaurant is self service! So you get a beeper and you go when your beeper beeps. So my interaction with the lady at the counter was limited. A good size family and friends owned restaurant. Where they got good foodie/mom skills working in the kitchen.

In my first visit to Turmerica, I had a decent experience overall. I came across Turmerica on Instagram and decided to check it out. They specialize in serving traditional, regional Indian food. You can find on their menu food from the Indian states of Gujarat, Maharashtra, and Punjab. The dining area is spacious, nice, and clean. It's counterservice where you order and pick up your food from the counter. Utensils, napkins, and water are part of self-service. You order from the menu on the wall, and you get a buzzer to alert you with a buzz when your order is ready. We received good service. We ordered samosa chaat, vadaa pav, Maharashtrian thali (a variety of items made not by the restaurant's kitchen but by someone the restaurant owner knows who sells it through the restaurant), paneer tikka masala with rotis, misal pav, a drink called Piyush (made from a sweet dish made from yogurt called shrikhand, plus milk, buttermilk, nuts, and saffron) and last but not least, Indian paan ice cream which is homemade. The samosa chaat was very tasty. It had a good a bit sweet and tangy tasty with a slight spicy kick. The vadaa pav was underwhelming as it lacked good flavor, and also, the fried potato patty between the two buns was flattened as opposed to a fully rounded shape like it's normally served in Mumbai. The paneer dish had a nice color to it and was flavorful. We liked it. The items in the Maharashtrian thali were quite tasty and to my liking. Some of the items did have a bit more salt than to my liking, but they were not salty. The misal pav was decent, but the moog broth was very runny. The drink called Piyush was pretty sweet as opposed to what we were told, which is it will have a good balance of sweet (shrikhand) and salt (buttermilk). Also, the drinking cup for Piyush was pretty small (6 oz?) for the price they charge ($7), which we thought was ridiculous. It's definitely not worth that much, and for a unique drink it's supposed to be, it was just like drink liquid shrikhand. Last but not least, the paan ice cream, which was creamy and had a subtle paan flavor but not a rich taste. It seemed to have an underlying base flavor of something else blended in with paan flavor. Overall, it was nice to check out Turmerica. They have good food and drinks variety on their menu. They are on the pricey side, and depending on the dishes, the price to portion ratio can be off like in the case of Piyush and Vadaa Pav. But it's good to have a fast-casual Indian restaurant like theirs. Schaumburg is a good place to have it. Check them out if you haven't tried them before.

Alfonso mango shake

People have been telling me to try Turmerica since it had opened. I'm always up for vegetarian Indian snacks, especially when a place wants to give them a new twist! This place is still pretty new, so it is still clean. Nice seating for snacks with a nice, bright on-the-wall menu. Interesting menu items. I went with the desi veg burger with cheese. We also had samosa chat and peri peri momos plus a mango shake. I will add that the prices are quite fair compared to others. The desi veg burger was a mixed lightly spicy, crispy veg patty, melted white cheese, a full slice of raw onion, tomato, and mayo. I like the size, a "fits in your palm" snack size yet its filling. The samosa chat was good, a combo of hot and cold. You can have momos (potstickers) steamed or fried. I chose steamed. Peri peri momos are spicy cabbage momos with hot peri peri sauce, not bad. Try the shakes! The mango shake was made with real alfonzo mangoes, topped with a scoop of ice cream and some tuti fruity garnish. I really wanted to try those cupcakes I heard about but they no longer have them :(. Alhough my experience with the food was good, I noticed a few order mishaps and a returned food item. I also noticed the guy scoop ice cream and use his finger (without gloves) to push it into someone's cup, ew. This place also needs some music...badly. They are playing bollywood videos on mute which makes for a VERY awkward ambience. All in all, not bad for quick snacks. I'd try it again for sure :)

Within a couple minutes they provided a complimentary mango lassi for our toddler because he was on and off fussy, which was very kind of them! Either way one of my fav dishes in general - daal makhani - 4/5, tasted good but normally not a fan Most of the above came with the chefs dinner special, I forgot what it was called - but it cost $28 for 1 person and it was a good spread! Fed two people more like it. Nice decor and ambiance, I would recommend you eat here!

Their naans are soft and fluffy and taste fresh. Though we ordered medium spicy, the food was a little bit spicy for us. I recommend ordering low spice if you like non spicy food. The service was good and exceptional. They were very nice to accommodate our choices with exclusions and limitations on certain ingredients. The ambience is okay since the place is small but can't complain due to the busy area and limited space. Overall, it's a great place to visit again in future

On May 7th, 2026, my colleagues and I ended up at this restaurant as a last-minute decision to try…read moreand save an evening out with friends. One of our friends originally suggested another restaurant, located in the same strip mall as New Delhi. But unfortunately, that restaurant only served take-out. You had six hungry men standing in the parking lot, looking at our friend, who clearly hadn't done his homework. One of our other friends then suggested the Indian restaurant located at the end of the strip mall. As we walked over, we passed a liquor store, and one of us suggested getting some adult beverages and taking them to the Indian restaurant for dinner. By then, I had walked in and observed that there was no bar, and they did not allow BYOB! Can the evening get any better, LOL. We all decided then and there that we were going to eat here, and our former friend would pick up the tab. We walked in and picked the table for six. We also noticed that we had the whole place to ourselves (maybe not a good sign). The hotness/waitress quickly came over and served us water, and we told her to start bringing us everything she could suggest for six hungry men to eat. 3 loved spicy food, 2 liked it medium, and I could only tolerate mild. She quickly walked away, and within a few minutes, the food started coming out of the rear kitchen. Let me tell you, this place is a hidden gem!!! The food was amazing, we all live 45 minutes away from this restaurant, but for this food, we are coming back with our better halves for them to try.

5 stars for New Delhi Restaurant of India…read more The inside of the restaurant has a lot of nice looking cultural Indian decor with plenty of seating if you want to dine-in. All of the dishes are made fresh to order and adjusted to your spice level you request (mild, medium, spicy). We tried the Paneer Tikka Masala and Malai Kofta - both were delicious, tons of flavor and big portion size of the curry. The rice portions are big as well and can be shared among 2 people - my only complaint is rice not being included with the curry - it's an extra charge sadly. The workers are very friendly, they gave us a complimentary Butter Naan - very hot and fresh so thank you for that! Overall, I'd recommend a visit if you want some great Indian food, but I also recommend going a weekday if you want quicker service.
