Old story, no ending. My son's suitcase went to Istanbul rather than Zurich. He was on a 5 day skiing holiday and all his winter gear was in the suitcase. The TA customer service person at Zurich told him to buy what was essential, send the receipts and the money would be reimbursed. You guessed it, Turkish Airlines is offering a fraction of the cost of ski gear. They say that his claim has been evaluated "within the framework of internal rules". Any regulations should be fair, open and in the public domain. They refuse to let us know what these "internal rules" are so we can see why his claim has been denied. We have been round and round in circles for months with nothing more than platitudinous generic responses. But no answers. Oh for an Airline Ombudsman. read more
