Great to try new places! The chicken is nice and crispy, hot is the way to go, and don't be shy with the sides. I had no room for some pie, but I checked out what they have and they all look mouth watering options, especially the chocolate mousse pie....mmmmm.... The staff and service was great, the bartender was super helpful and friendly. Very relaxed atmosphere, perfect for an easy going stop by lunch or early dinner and a drink. Our server was the young lady serving the bar patrons. She was very sweet and efficient. I ordered the Mo Hit 2 piece white meat. My wife ordered the 8 chicken bites with a order of fries. I probably would go for the just Hot chicken next time since the mo was a little much for me. Great chicken and large pieces. If I was a Chicken I would move out of Round Rock. Came here in the evening after going to the movies. I was excited because I've been cooped up, focused on losing weight (which is why there haven't been any posts for a bit). Plus, I've heard great things about this place but never been. But FINALLY...today was the day! I got my workout in (it was extra hard and my last for the week) and I had to get cleaned up and hit the road immediately afterwards. So by the time we got to the restaurant all I'd had all day was a protein bar and a bottle of water...I WAS STARVING. Being that it was a Saturday night we did have to wait 20-30 minutes for a table. But once inside everything was quick. The waiter was friendly and took his time answering our questions. Even though I initially intended to show restraint and get one piece I ended up getting the Again, the food came pretty quick and it was piping hot. And when I dug my fork into the thigh, you could see the yummy juiciness of the meat. 1/2 mixed, dang hot. Glad I didn't go to cluckin hot like I leaned toward initially. I'm by no means a wuss when it comes to spicy food, but dang hot was enough to get a good kick, feel it on your lips but still get all the flavor from the seasoning. It wasn't just HOT. The meal came with 2 sides, bread and pickles. I got mac and cheese and greens. The greens were meh. I wouldn't get them again. Tasted a bit under done and bland. But the mac and cheese was legit!!! SO DARN GOOD, CREAMY AND CHEESY!!! Perfect accompaniment to that chicken. If I could recommend another side, my sister got their broccoli salad and I tried some....AMAZING. I make broccoli salad and love it. Theirs's great. I would say get that over the greens. I hate that I live all the way in South Austin because I already want to go back...I need that holiday sandwich they have right now!!! Oh and in my opinion the price was more than fair. Deviled eggs - typical deviled eggs that are too much of mayo or mustard and the powder sprinkled on top gives it a slight kick as well. Chicken bites (dang hot) - moist battered chicken nuggets. We've been waiting for the Round Rock location to open and we're excited to try it to go last night (order online in advance). My fiance and I got the $25 boneless family pack (mo hot - flavor) with mac n cheese, greens, and it comes with apple pie as well. I really enjoyed the chicken and it was about as spicy as I can handle so I can't imagine how hot the more spicy ones are (I have a moderate spice tolerance). The Mac and greens we're both really good too and the box also came with bread in case you wanted a sandwich. Overall it met my lofty expectations and I'd like to try the og sandwich next time. This review is strictly on take out experience on multiple occasions as Tumble22 is typically not the type of restaurant I would ever sit down and eat at. Unfortunately my son loves the chicken sandwiches and to be fair the food here is pretty good whether it is the sandwich or the bone in chicken hence why i gave 2 stars instead of 1. The service and everything else about this location leaves a lot to be desired. First off the app they use to order from for repeat customers has to be one of the worst. Not sure if they are saving a buck over using Toast but it is not good. You have to put your email in and then wait for a magic link which is 50/50 whether it will arrive in your mailbox. If you've saved a credit card to that account you cant simply re sign up under a different email and use that same credit card or it will tell you the card is already associated with another account. If you make it through the online ordering process they have tons of spaces set up for pulling up, texting your space number, and having them bring out the food. Sounds great right! Only this only works maybe 25% pf the time and the other 75% of the time ive tried this you are simply ignored and you will have to walk in to get your order. The other things ive experienced on numerous occassions here is if you order a sandwich at one spice level and bone in chicken with a different spice level, again 50/50 whether they will get that right. Often apparently they dont care to read the order and will give you everything the same spice level. Lastly, unless you put a pick up time way in the future, the food may or may not be ready in the time window you picked so order early. Its a shame because there is a big discrepancy between the service and the food. This is not a review based on 1 or 2 experiences either. This is a review based on coming here over a year. read more

I've been to Tumble 22 several times and let me just say that the food and service this visit was excellent! Contrary to other reviews stating the service wasn't up to par, ours was outstanding! I ordered the 2 thigh entree with the Cluckin' Hot (2nd spiciest) with a side order of collard greens, and my wife ordered the Cobb Salad with ranch dressing and chicken bites. My order came out steaming hot, fresh out of the oven, crispy and juicy!!! The spice worked itself in as a delayed type of heat. Just how I like it. The collard greens were perfectly seasoned and had a bit of meat in it to complete this awesome dish! Wifey's salad was fresh with crisp lettuce, ripe avocado and tender/moist chicken bites that were a perfect bite size. Most places cut their chicken in larger portion sizes and make you cut them up before eating. Not Tumble 22, they serve you the perfect size chicken bites for your salad. Breading was falling off on the pieces that were sitting on the bread. Bread was not the "Texas Toast" offered by other franchises. It was inedible. Not the greatest.,Signature dipping sauce was just ok. Other order was 6 bone-in chicken at spice level 5 of 6 also boxed with white bread in the bottom and a few sweet pickle slices. Very spicy. Bread was soaked with grease and falling apart. A very small container of Cole slaw came with the bone in order. It was tasteless and not worth doctoring up at home. My boyfriend sticks with the Mac and I do fries and coleslaw. Get the buttermilk pie. Apps were good to try, but we omitted it on the second visit.
